The Philadelphia Phillies may be a few years from contention, but they could look to add some veteran bats this winter.
Pete Mackanin has made it clear that he'd like to see the front office add some offense.
"We just need some professional hitters in the middle (of the lineup)," Mackanin said. "We need at least a guy in the middle who is a go-to guy."
As a team, the Phillies have slashed .223/.293/.360 in their last 50 games.
