Jung Ho Kang has received an eight-month sentence after admitting guilt in his DUI case, but the sentence has been suspended for two years.
The decision clears the way for him to return to the Pittsburgh Pirates this spring.
Kang can avoid any jail time if he does not violate the terms of the suspended sentence. He has three DUI arrests in South Korea and still faces a possible Major League suspension.
