The Toronto Blue Jays are close to a contract extension for John Gibbons, according to a report.
The extension is believed to be for two years with a team option.
Gibbons is entering the final year of his contract.
"In due time, I think we can probably work something out," Gibbons said earlier this spring. "There was just too much going on [with free agency] as far as the players on the field. It was an unusual year. I thought that needed to be the priority."
