Padres Celebrate Life Of Late Owner Peter Seidler

San Diego Padres stars and executives remembered late owner Peter Seidler with laughter and some emotional moments on Saturday while vowing to fulfill his dream of bringing a World Series championship to his adopted hometown.

A celebration of life was held for Seidler at Petco Park five days before the Padres play their home opener. Seidler died of an undisclosed cause on Nov. 14. He was 63.

:( I feel for the padres fans. Except Lance from LaCosta[Jim rome caller from the past]. Finally the padres get a good owner who makes the right trades & puts a winner on the field, & changes their uniforms for the better. All the past owners were even worse than Donald Sterling. Padres always looked the worst when wearing gray & or navy. Reeses pieces colors + this decade's colors[brown/yellow/tan road] is their best look. Yes they fell short but gave the team hope to finally get over the hump & he dies. Hopefully for them, they don't go back to the padres of old. Being the NL version of the current A's-being everybody's aaa farm team.
