The Kings have acquired defenseman Andrej Sekera from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for prospect Roland McKeown and a conditional first round selection, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Sekera, 28, has played in 57 games with the Hurricanes this year and has 19 points (2-17=19) and eight penalty minutes.
The native of Bojnice, Slovakia has played for the Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres during his nine-year NHL career.
