Xavi will join New York City FC, according to a report from Catalan radio.
Xavi was previously linked to a move to Qatar as his tenure with Barcelona is over. The deal with Qatar reportedly fell apart recently.
David Villa and Frank Lampard will also play for New York City FC when they begin in the MLS for the 15-16 season.
