So what do you guys think are the chances that Ronaldo ends up in the MLS?

by 2018, I wouldn't say it's so crazy. I really doubt Miami will have a team by then so he becomes LAFC's first marquee player. A perfect match with the ownership group they have. I am a little bummed about having to read Ronaldo rumors for the next three years, though.

And the Friday game has been canceled for tonight....

If they want to keep the TV networks happy they'll have to start to schedule two games for Friday so they have a back up.

Yeah. Attendance seems to be doing well from what I've noticed. How are TV ratings doing?

Talk around Bilbao is that Andoni Iraola is not gonna reup is contract with the team and wants to give it a go on the MLS. Any team there needs a right fullback?

No Friday game, two weeks in a row.

Not a great start for MLS with their new TV deal.

Just one (Cyle Larin). We lost 2 to the USMNT (Brek Shea and Conor Donovan), 2 to Portugal under 20 (Rafael Ramos and Estrella), 1 to El Salvador NT (Ceren) and 1 to the Trinidad & Tobego NT (Kevin Molino).

At the start of the season, was anyone predicting Vancouver and Dallas sitting on top out West to start the year?

Dallas doesnt surprise me, honestly. They have had awesome starts in the last two seasons...time to see if they actually keep it together all season long. Vancouver is surprising. I have an early feeling that all three Cascadia teams are going to be making the playoffs this year.

That would make for an amazing playoff.

Add L.A. and RSL and it could be the best playoffs ever for the West.

For some odd reason Columbus and Vancouver play tonight.

Likely the result of the nasty road trip MLS created for Columbus. Coast to coast games can't be fun in just a few days.

I agree.

It's really made the start of the season drag.

Yeah scoreless draws are an issue. The sport is aiming to grow in North America and in order to do that, we have to get past the prejudice that the sport is boring and 0 0 draws does not help.

Maybe refs should be instructed to officiate the games in a manner to promote scoring. Call soft fouls, make it easier for attackers to score. Sounds crazy but it's fair as long both sides are getting the same calls.

I'm really liking these Sunday night games. They're good broadcasts. Having first rate camera/lighting quality is so important. I'm hoping they can take some of the audience from Sunday night baseball but, to do that, they can't have the game look like a high school football game on some regional cable network. They've got to have the beautiful pictures to go along with the beautiful game. To me, image quality is one of the reasons the TNT Thursday night NBA package works so well.

(Good announcers help too.)
