Win or Lose tho, once again RSL is the last unbeaten team in the season!

Should be a great game!

cant complain about getting a point and a shutout at the cauldron, but RSL's play has been seriously underwhelming most of this season. We were dominated last night and got pretty lucky to come out of that with the tie. Im trying to stay patient with this 4-3-3 formation (waiting for Plata, in other words). I just wish we could hold possesion or pass the ball as well as we didi with the 4-1-2-1-2.

A thought
We are stong in the central defense this year. Last night was Elias Vasquez first start and he looked excellent. That performance eased Salcedo's exit for us. Olave is still the tank he was two years ago. Schuler is great, resting him on random nights like against SKC will be tons easier with Vasquez on board.

Big test is next week when we get Vancouver. Should be a good game.

Everything You Need To Get Started In SOCCER: (Watching Finals is the best part, don't miss the big ones)

-MLS: Now through October

US Open Cup: 1st round June 16-17, Final in September 29th/30ths

2015 CONCACAF Champions League: Final April 22nd and 29th

2015 Gold Cup July 7-26
--------------------------------

-Barclays: 6 games left each, through May

FA CUP: April 18th, and 19th, with May 30th for the Final (Barclay Clubs and Championship League)
--------------------------------

-Liga BBVA: Now through May

2015 Copa del Rey: Final May 30th
(2015 Supercopa de Espana: TBD)
--------------------------------

-Bundesliga: Now through May

2015 DFB-Pokal: April 28th and 29th for Semis, and Final on May 30th
(2015 DFL-Supercup: TBD Winner of Bundesliga Championship and Winner of Pokal)
--------------------------------

-Russian Premier League: Now through May

2015 Russian Cup: April 29th Semis, and Final IDK/TBD
--------------------------------

Europa League: April 16th and April 23rd , with Final on May 27th. (National teams)

Champions League: April 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd, plus May 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, and June 6th (these are club teams)

*Europa are National Teams looking for Spots in FIFA World Cup. Champions Leagues are clubs from all of the leagues in Europe looking for European Cup, glory, and of course a spot in FIFA "Club" World Cup; the last Euro Cup final was the most watched sporting event in world, like 360 million people, but of course winner was Real Madrid, who ended up winning the FIFA Club World Cup (not to be confused with FIFA Cup which is for national teams, not clubs)
--------------------------------

Other Notes:

*Not all dates are prefect

*Super Copa and Supercup, would be like the Supporter Shield winner facing the MLS champion in a Super Cup (supporter shield is team with most points at end of season, and MLS champion is the top teams in each conference in a NBA style playoff that draws a winner), you might ask why the hell doesn't US make the supporters shield worth more and have a Super Cup, well US Soccer is lame like that, but US is cool enough to have the US Cup, which is a mega tourny for any soccer club in US (BYU even has a team).

*US Open and FA Cup gives virtually every Soccer club in the country a shot at a title, the two main leagues in the FA Cup are Premier Leauge which is like the MLS, and the Skybet Championship league is like USA's United Soccer League, of course there are a couple other leagues who have teams entered in the huge tournament.

Beautiful goals by both teams so far. RSL still frustrating to watch these days.

we needed that one last night so bad. So happy we were miraculously able to get three points. I hate SKC so much. I consider them our real rival nowadays since the Colorado matches have been so one sided and stale for a long time now.

RSL needs this game to keep pace with the playoffs teams. Can they leapfrog a team tonight in the West?

Sorry that I can't find a better video yet, but honestly it was an incredible goal.

Panic mode initiated. We are awful.

Our only hope for Tuesday USOC is Galaxy taking team b or c to take on RSL senior team. This is really starting to feel like the end of an era for RSL. Even with Beckerman and Rimando here, our defense is just not there.

RSL to trade Saborio to D.C. United

Costa Rican national team striker Alvaro Saborio is in the midst of his country's run at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, but it appears he could find himself on a new team once the tournament ends for the 'Ticos'.

Sources have confirmed to Goal USA that Real Salt Lake is finalizing a trade that will send Saborio to D.C. United in exchange for midfielder Luis Silva.

Saborio has managed just three goals in 14 appearances for RSL this season, and has become expendable with the emergence of Sebastian Jaime.

D.C. United is currently in first place in the Eastern Conference, but can use some more firepower at the forward position, and acquiring Saborio would reunite him with Fabian Espindola, who he partnered with on RSL's forward line from 2010 to 2012.

Silva has endured a disappointing season with D.C. United, having played just 346 minutes and scoring one goal a year after he notched a team-high 11 goals for the regular season Eastern Conference champion. He had started in D.C. United's past three matches, but left the tam's most recent MLS match, a 1-0 loss to Seattle, with a groin injury.

Sources have confirmed to Goal USA that both Saborio and Silva are in the final years of their MLS contracts.

Whew, Big move for Real. I have to admit I was asking why, why why? This seemed like a move to throw in the towel, call it a year, let the fat lady sing for this year's real salt lake. But then listening to the radio they were talking about a past suspension, of course injury, and more than likely locker-room-bad-chemistry with Sabo. So maybe they were trying to weed out some virus, and such from the team to try to make a final run towards the playoffs.

Pretty crazy though trading away argueable the best player on the team right when they need to make a winning streak run towards the playoffs.

I'm not fully impressed with sabaschen Jamie. But after watching his last flury of goals I'm convinced it wasn't him but the midfielders not being able to get him the ball in the right spots, accreately enough. And they traded Sabo for a midfielder so maybe it's a good move.

What do you think Ozzy, or others?
Go ReAL!

I had the same reaction that RSL was packing it in and rebuilding, but if Silva can perform like he did last season just maybe they will be better off.

I guess we'll see if RSL continues to make trades.

It was definitly a financial move for real salt. And they skill level probably didn't change. Hopefully it got better.

Again I so think a midfield/ assist player is the place for improvement needed. To many bad traps, long lost dribbles, and inaccreate passes from the mids.

Gil and Mahalland and the new def wings just are not cutting it like Wingert and Grabavoy did. Maybe the dribbler Valasqyez. too. Interestingly they were most likely put on waivers and lost to new York because of finances. Not sure but they were higher paid.

What do you all think?

With what Weibel said that "we're not done making moves" thing, sounds like Gil could be up next. He makes way to much for what he actually contributes. Meanwhile, Mullholland is an absolute steal for what we pay him. I hope we can pick someone as good Saborio. We still need depth to compete in the US Open cup and maybe make a solid CCL run.

We looked good last night. Javier Morales is the man. I wonder if the fact that Jeff Cassar wasn't on the sideline had anything to do with how well we played.
