18 teams league with 34 rounds (everyone vs. everyone twice, once at home and once on the road) seems to be the EuroLeague winning formula, with a combined playoff and Final Four format in the postseason (Play-In round since this season for #7-#10 ranked teams).

Last season was super-competitive, and this should be even more because instead of 8, now 6+4 teams will be involved in playoffs. After opening 3 rounds only 4 teams were unbeaten and only two lost all three games which tells us about great balance.

Kendrick Nunn has signed with Panathinaikos.
If he's healthy, he will be one great star addition next to Sloukas, Vildoza and next season he will return to the NBA where he belongs.
If not, his career will probably never recover again for that level.

Euroleague equality/parity is staggering this season. After 11 rounds, only two teams (out of 18) have more than 7 wins, and only two have more than 7 losses. Therefore, 80% of the league is in the 35%-65% winning range, while in the NBA it is only half, although in the NBA there are additional mechanisms for equalizing the quality of teams such as the salary cap and the draft system.

Finally after a decade+ of watching others dominate, we're back(Panathinaikos).
We won't win this season since others (mainly Real) are way ahead in team roster, chemistry etc. but we're back.
Starting from next season we will contend again.
The OAKA arena now is on our hands and not to the states. That gives us a great push in revenue and it showed during the transfer window. I expect even more next season.
We have a great coach in Ataman, the base of Greek national team and some of the transfers (Lessort, Grant) seem keepers for years. Hopefully we'll resign both Nunn(difficult because i believe he'll find a contract in the NBA) and Grigonis.

That Monaco win at Barcelona made it a rodeo.
It's going to be a bloodbath until the RSs end.
Very competitive this season.

Mitoglou looks like an intriguing player for the NT. I'm hoping Gianni will play this year and see what we look like under Spanoulis' stewardship. I enjoy watching the boys play with Walkup-opoulos ( :D ).

The last Oly/PAO game was a banger. Nunn is having a renaissance it seems.

Zvezda tanked the game? Yes or No?

Wouldn't it benefit them more for Partizan to make the play in or even final 8 to play more games and have more fatigue going into the ABA playoff series where the two would most likely meet in the Final? Strange move if they did but both teams deserve the worst for their treatment of local talent.

It would, but it would benefit Partizan greatly even more, and that is bottom line. I do not think players themselves tried to lose, especially foreigners, but the idea that they can "save their energy", could have been implied. This is one of the most hatefill rivalries in sports, these teams can be petty.

EuroLeague playoffs> NBA playoffs so far.
If you exclude the Madrid -Basconia series the other 3 are breathtaking.
The Panathinaikos -Maccabi is the most storied rivalry in euro basket for over a generation and it shows this series.
Olympiacos-Barcelona is completely unpredictable.
Fenerbahce-Monaco game 4 is also going to be epic.

Very glad that EuroBasket seems to have been upgraded tremendously despite the best players leaving constantly for the UD, despite CSKA been banned and all that.

The Final 4 system is so dumb with sudden death should be 5 games series for both it completely kills it for me.

The Final Four has been a tradition in Europe since 1988 (since 1953 in NCAA).
