The 2013 NBA All-Star Game will be the first ever for which we, the fans, can vote for three front-court players, instead of two forwards and a center. With the league becoming smaller and smaller every year, big and strong post players being a rarity, we should make sure that there's a proper 7-footer representing the Eastern conference. I bet you're wondering who can be that man considering that Nikola Vucevic and Chris Bosh are among the starting centers in the East. Well, I'll tell you. That man is Gana Diop.

The shot blocker.

The 15-foot jumpshot sinker.

The big body you can't get out of the paint.

The 300-pounder other centers are scared of playing.

That Dallas "Diop Diop" video is probably on my top10 favourite videos of all-time list.

he knows what to do and he reads the game well, on both ends, but he just cant move any more. its painful trying to watch him run up and down the floor.

Yep, I agree with you guys. He probably is the smartest defensive player we have on our team, yet half the time he simply isn't able to make the proper rotations in time because of his worn out body. Doesn't he remind you of Zach Randolph when he rebounds the ball? Knows where the ball will fall and can get it without jumping.

Having 4 blocks (one of them was on LeBron??? I need to see this game) as a follow-up to a 5 block game is actually quite the accomplishment considering that he barely jumps on those plays.

If Diop was healthy he'd be worth his contract to a team that needed rebounding and strong post defense and could afford to go 3-4 on 5 on offense.
