Him going from a fringe contender to whatever the hell we are would be a fun punishment tho.

Well at least he didn't beat his woman half to death.

He's also shooting 50 40 90 and leading the league with 48% shooting from deep.

I could shoot 48% playing off Durant, Booker, and Beal.

Percentages would tank so hard playing with Frank Nilikili and Ish Smith lol

Grayson is a decent defender as well isn’t he?
Sounds like the type of guard we want next to Ball, no?

Phoenix starting 5 would have ridiculous offensive talent

Of course he should feel some gratitude, imo, the team stuck by him when most would argue he didn't deserve it. I hope it's legit.

I don't see any point in trading him unless we get a haul (unlikely), we have no intention of re-signing him (also unlikely, or we would have torn the band-aid off last summer), or because we strongly believe the next trial is going to end his career (but in that case other teams probably have the same intel).

If he really wants to stay the ball is in his court because he can veto any trade

I keep changing my opinion on this dude. Just read that he wants to stay in Charlotte.

Hell if he really wants to comeback at a reasonable price then we should probably keep him. Like it or not he's going to be the best player available in FA.

My fear is someone will probably throw him close to the max because he's the top name on the market.

I'm honestly torn on Bridges. One day I want to move on, the next day I want to keep him. Tough decision.

Much easier to wanna move on from him when we still had Terry. Trading Miles now probably means we win two more games the rest of the season.

Would still absolutely drop him if he got us a decent prospect and draft picks (something better than the Terry deal).

Still strongly believe we shouldn't max him.

I doubt anyone offers a pick unless it's some contender he thinks he's the missing piece for this season.

Not even sure why Detroit wants to trade for him he's a freaking FA after the season. Keep your assets dummies!

Miles Bridges last 9 games.
23//6
28/5
20/10
21/7
21/9
21/10
30/15
9/5

Guess which game everyone decided they wanted to trade him after? Lol.

72/151 from field during that 8 game stretch for 47.6% and 26/62 from 3 during that stretch 42%.

I am not sure I can remember a team on the fence about paying a guy 30 million and then instead trading him for nothing.

Porzingis is probably the only one. They got Tyus Jones and 35th pick for him. Which was awful and still significantly better than the rumored deals we have seen.

Sad part's it could just as easily be construed as him making his case to any teams thinking of tendering an offer sheet this summer. Glass half-full/half-empty now.

Ask yourself we have 3 potential allstar talents in Melo/Miller/Bridges.

We know they are talented, but the leadership is a question mark.

Can we bring in some quality vets who can teach these 3 young talented players how to play winning basketball?

If not we shouldn't bring Miles back. If we truly believe we can find some vet leadership maybe we keep these 3 together. The fit is not the problem. It's health with Melo and leadership.

Woj Bomb!

Watching the SVP sports center and Woj basically said we aren't trading Bridges and we will look to bring him back in FA.

Guess Bridges is part of the core moving forward.

They're probably getting offered a mediocre role player and 2nds for a guy that can make an all star team or 2. I wouldn't either.

Yeah I said if we could get a 1st I would trade him and move on. It's clear teams weren't offering much so we probably should just bring him back.

We can always trade him later down the line.

We definitely need some vet leadership though. Not comfortable with Miles/Melo making big money and neither have shown great leadership. We have to bring in a real vet leader in FA.

I agree. First rounder + a few players that can bury guys like Bryce and Thor in our rotation or nothing at all.

A protected Philly first and House + Springer is the dream.

Despite his warts and previous horrible behavior, agree that Miles brings a level of performance that is not easily found. He needs better coaching relative to expectations on defense, and holding him accountable for doing that. Same for the rest of the team.

Clifford is not an idiot.,he’s been coaching for many years and knows the game. Cliff is not a good game day coach. He doesn’t make tactical decisions based on the game and players in front of him. He sticks to his formulas regardless of the situation. He’d be a good assistant coach or specialist/advisor.

I don't like the fact that for the third off season in a row we're going to be handcuffed by Miles Bridges.

Negotiating trying to sign him or trade him is going to completely eat up all of the oxygen, and distract from the real need of this team which is veteran leadership, tough defenders, three point shooting, backup point guard and a healthy legitimate center.

All of the offense is nice, but this team is going nowhere until it gets some players who actually play some f****** defense.

These big scoring games mean nothing to me. His lack of IQ and defense create a negative product on the court. He relies almost entirely on his athletics which are already falling off.

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but I'd rather let him walk for nothing than sell out big money for him. We are still extremely early in iur rebuild. Would rather just draft another big wing in 2024 and let him cook with the hole Miles will leave behind.
