So all 82 games can be seen now in Durham? This makes me happy, I just moved up here and was worried about that.

Yeah, it was posted earlier that Fox Sports South of the Carolinas who usually carried about 20 games every year would be broadcasting all 82.

They won't...saw it posted on BCP. I went through 5 miserable years of Charter television while I was at App State..they suck ass. Glad to be back in Charlotte :D

its a shame. in the early 90s boone showed every hornets road game on high country cable. my friends and i planned our weeks and weekends around those games. if we were at a party and the hornets were playing we took over the tv until the hornets games were over. at a bar, made sure the bugs were on tv. at a girls house, told her there was a great movie on channel 10, waited for her to change channel to hornets, laughed, then stole remote.

Hopefully here in GSP but I'm sure the first game I will turn to Sports South and In My Own Words: Les Miles will be on instead.

Hey guys!

I've pretty much been lurking since training camp but I'm pumped for the season! Was wondering if anyone had any updates on the TV front?

I'm a DirecTV subscriber in the Greensboro market who couldn't watch any 'Cats games last year (though Hawks games were prevalent). You may remember my rant last year of, when I found out all the games were blacked out in my area, I got League Pass. Only then I found out that Bobcats games were blacked out on that as well since I was local...just not local enough to get it locally. Adding insult to injury was the fact that I found out my neighbor (a TWC customer) got all the games.

So I'm excited about the premise of them reaching more homes..but any idea if I'll be one of the new homes? I haven't found much aside from the articles posted here, and nothing has been definitive. Fox Sports Carolinas is on my channel list, but I apparently don't have it. Fox Sports South has "UFC Insider" on the schedule during game-time. SportSouth Plus has the Hawks game during that time. SportSouth Plus and SportSouth Plus HD have nothing scheduled at all until tonight's Grizz/Clips game (on both channels) and then nothing again until the 'Cats/Pacers game Thursday.

Now, I've learned not to get my hopes up just because it's on the schedule. Several times last year I tortured myself by tuning in (by the way, the pre-game shows aren't blacked out) and watching up until the tip was blacked out. Pie isn't the worst thing, but I'd like to actually see the games.

So yeah, any knowledge on this subject would be appreciated.

That's strange, I'm a DirecTv subscriber and I live ~20 minutes southeast of Greensboro and I got every game on tv last year I think. No Hawks or Wizards games for me but Braves, Nationals, and Orioles games aplenty. :-?

I'm in Burlington (well, closer to Mebane but I have a Burlington address), about 40 minutes out of Greensboro. I called DirecTV about it last year and they said they don't decide the viewing areas, but when I told them my neighbor got the games on TWC they didn't know what to tell me. I asked who would know and they said the Bobcats, lol. I then tried to get a further explanation from a superior or something and they just told me to listen to the radio.

tell them youre gonna switch to TWC since they dont carry the games.

even if you dont want to, theyll prolly cut 20 bucks a month off your bill just for threatening it with a solid reason

lets do a little exercise here... i want to create something on the 1st page of this thread that gives people an idea of the TV coverage. if we get enough people to participate, we can hopefully get a could map of NC/SC and the coverage.

so... If you live in NC or SC, please reply to this thread and answer these questions

1. Where do you live?
2. What cable or satellite provider do you have at home?
3. Can you see Bobcats games at your home via cable or NBA league pass (if applicable)?
4. Are the games in HD?

This is new for me this year, I actually posted in this thread right before the season started because last year I couldn't get the games. Happy to have them now though on SportSouth+ and SportSouth+HD, both channels vanish after the postgame.

However, at home I have Charter and do not have the games. Unless something changed I don't think Charter carries Fox Sports South
