Bobcats 2012-13 YouTube Thread

Post#1 » by LamarMatic7 » Mon Oct 29, 2012 12:47 am

I don't know what Fats had in mind as he's the goat organizer of threads, but I imagine that we can start off a new thread for all of our highlights, instead of continuing the last one.

I also thought that it would be a good idea to post some teaser highlights from the previous years as the season is just about to start so you guys can reminisce about the good (or rather mediocre) old days.

That signature Charlotte win versus the Lakers, from the 2010-11 season

Gerald Wallace's career night - 42 points and 8 rebounds against the Knicks. 2006/07 season.

Gilbert Arenas goes for 39, Gerald Wallace scores 40. 2006/07 season.

I have some more particular performances in mind, so you can expect some more great Bobcats moments. Right now I'm killing time till my fantasy draft starts with the classic 3OT game in which Kobe scored 58.

i'm cool with rocking a new thread for the season. we can let the other one slide from the main page.

use this one instead.

I hate to load you up with requests Lamar, but I would love to see one from last year when Diaw went nuts against the Knicks.

Even the Knick fans were cracking jokes calling him Kareem Abdul Diaw etc.

We had a rather positive start to last season, it really was a bizarre year.

Here are the highlights of the whole victory, it mostly consists of Hendo and Diaw if I remember correctly. Also the audio was a bit off :-?

I think I covered most of the positive (of course, there wasn't much of it) stuff from last season, so you can just browse the last season's thread for highlights from 2011-12.

I was thinking about adding something from the previous years to youtube's archives.

one of those games where Diaw hints at what he truly could do. He just destroyed Amare.

Some of the passing was awesome, that play at 52 seconds is a thing of beauty.

I don't know whether this is a good thing or it is as bad as it sounds, but we might be the only NBA fanbase who enjoyed watching Kwame Brown. I remember that we loved him during the Paul Silas span of the 2010-11 season, especially for the last two months.

The most points scored in a half in our franchise history. I also included Stephen Jackson making some great passes in the third quarter. God, I truly enjoy watching him the random times he throws up a 30 point and near 10 assist game. As far as this game goes - I looked up the game thread and everybody's just raving how great the team looks and happy about hitting the .500 mark.

Something a bit older - a good Brevin Knight performance from his solid 05/06 season.

A random Stephen Jackson 35 point game. I just felt like doing this video, although it's not particularly amazing or anything. There just can't be enough footage of Jackson on youtube and I just love his game.

I suppose I might upload some more before the season starts... Oh and feel free to place requests, Sachmo, however, I can't assure anything since we simply aren't a popular team and people just don't keep them in their collections, they aren't to be found on the Internet. At times like these I damn myself for not keeping more of our old games around my computer or recorded in DVDs. Like Jackson's drunk game which I bet Fats would like to see again.

let's hope that these work as a good luck charm for MKG to come away with a game worthy of an NBA debut video Friday night.

The classic Bobcats - Lakers three overtime game. Even though Kobe started the game off very well by scoring 16 in the first quarter, the Cats bounced back with a 42 point quarter (every field goal included) of their own to make it a close game heading in to the second half. Of course, it only ended in a drama in the third quarter. Raymond Felton contributed with 22 points and 15 assists, Emeka Okafor had 22 points, 25 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Matt Carroll had a career game of scoring 27 points. However, our best player probably was Gerald Wallace who scored 28 points. Moreover, he scored on Kobe at will and in hindsight was the reason why we actually won since Bryant fouled out in the third overtime, despite the reason that Wallace himself accumulated six fouls by guarding Kobe. Shout out to Bernard Robinson who made some clutch baskets with Crash on the bench. December 29, 2006.

We are probably the only team he's ever played for whose fans didn't want to punch Kwame in the face while he played for their team. I was quite impressed by him and I think if he had been picked in the second round rather than first overall, he'd be regarded quite nicely as a quality role player at times, but at other times he is completely garbage. I'm glad we did not have to see that side of his game too often here.

Kemba got himself some recognition with this game. Last year I was basically the only person on YouTube to post some Bobcats footage. Today I hadn't even woke up when there already were a couple of videos on Kemba's night.

MKG's 13 point, 5 rebound and 5 steal night at Dallas.

In other news, it seems like I might actually go for a Tyrus Thomas lowlight reel this season. I feel a bit bad for the dude, but he just makes the worst possible decisions sometimes, as we all know. So feel free to point out any of his shortcomings in game threads, especially if I'm not around for the discussion when the game occurs.

Check out the description of Gana's video for MKG and Kemba highlights. For some reason, this is the first time David blocked one of my videos worldwide.

Does anyone have video of the Charlotte call of this shot? I want to hear how Martin and Curry reacted.
