If we lose Al and Kemba to free agency, it's 12-70 City.

I don't think we can afford to lose him. If we lose him and can't sign a solid replacement, we're the 11th seed at best. We probably go 7-75 if Brian Roberts starts at PG

I'm obliged to see a few finally agreeing with me that if we loss Kemba that we'd win less than 30 games and probably within Sixers/Bucks territory. However, I don't want to continue touching on that subject. I want to speak on Kemba's extension. With that said, I want to believe that Cho's recent moves with extending overpayment to lesser players in Gordon Hayward & Marvin Williams, has probably put the Charlotte Hornets' organization in quite a bit of pickle for when negotiations start with Kemba about the extension. How can they legitimately justify not giving Kemba at least $12 million annually if they were willing to pay Hayward close to $16 million annually and gave Marvin Williams $7 million annually?

I don't think anything Cho is doing of late helps them extend Kemba at a reasonable price. Had these offers not happened, I'd probably be on board with most that he should only receive a offer between $8-10 million annually, but I can't justify that when I also thought Hayward fell between that same price range

I think extending Kemba should have been the first move this offseason. Showing that we have commitment to our top players, and keeping the rest of the team happy. Going after Lance/Hayward/whoever should've been the second thing in order. Worry about bringing role players like Roberts and Williams later on.

At this point I'll be more surprised if we keep Kemba. I think this offseason has been a tremendous failure on pretty much all accounts.

Cho wants as many scrubs as possible on 2- or 3-year deals that he's willing to gamble and lose Kemba.

There is some negativity around the web that Lance and Kemba can't co-exist I don't get it.

It's probably the same neanderthals that don't think Kemba is a point guard and would be best served playing alongside a shooting guard that is a playmaker to help him play his more rightful position of off-guard, and now that we have Stephenson they are totally contradicting their own statements beforehand. Some people just like to critique, but don't intend to make a point nor do they have any substance to backup their opinion

FWIW, I think Kemba is a legit point guard. Not every good point guard is going to be restricted to just passing because they aren't much of a scorer the same way not every good power forward will be restricted to scoring on the block and racking up over 10 rebounds per game. I just wanted to pinpoint the stance many have presumed of Kemba entering the league that still echo every here & there to this very day

Well, in my defense, I only saw this because the thread got bumped and wasn't sure when we signed Lance. I can't be expected to remember the dates of events that occur more than a week ago

Tomorrow night on ESPN Rucker Park is having their little yearly tournament with some pretty elite street ballers. Does anyone know if Kemba will be playing? I can't find anything

went to the Jim Calhoun all star game last night and I was watching Kemba shoot around before the game he must have made literally 10 3s in a row. It deff looks like he has been working on his shot. He also made the game winning 3. Other note it was really cool to see Lamb and Ray Allen go against each other.

The whole first half he wasnt even trying to score he was just looking to make lobs to Drummond to get the crowd going but once it was second half and the score was close he started doing work. I have watched him shoot around before a few games the past few years and he didnt look nearly as good as he did last night. I know its just a shoot around but his form looked real good and he literally made 10 3 pointers in a row warming up before the game.

That boy Kemba hittin game winnin 3s!

I think his 3 will be massively improved next season and being able to play off the ball more with Stephenson will work wonders on him being more efficient.
