Uncle Steve and the Dellestrator

Post#1 » by fatlever » Fri Feb 1, 2013 5:04 pm

I thought it would be fun to have a thread devoted to the awesomeness of Uncle Steve's miscues, sayings and ramblings, as well as some of Dells finer moments.

When you hear a good one post it here.

Gotta love Uncle Steve. Even if he eventually becomes stricken with Alzheimer's, I hope they keep him on the air until he draws his last breath.

In addition to the butchering of names, his irrational optimism is strangely pathetic and endearing all at the same time.

With the team down by 30 with 6 minutes left in a ballgame, he can always be counted on for a comment like, "Still time for the Bobcats to get going here"

DHO is now part of my lexicon. I love how every game Dell says DHO and then explains what that means.

He's said Albemarle once.

The nba.com guy on said on the recap that JJ Barea hit one from Kannapolis when he hit that 30+ft shot at the end of the first half against us.

I await the Matthews reference one of these days. Come on out Uncle Steve, we know you're reading this!

Next time my wife is angry at me for something and blames me I am going to say "that's just a DHO" and walk out of the room.

Pretty sure I did some DHOs at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

I loved how he kept trying to hype up the Atlanta game that was a week or two ago. Us versus the Hawks supposedly is an intense rivalry. The twitter question of the day even was something along the lines of - who are our biggest rivals. News flash - we suck, the only rivals we have are the other teams that are tanking down the stretch of the season. So... Wizards and Timberwolves?

I'm surprised there is not more talk about the big announcement Dell said is coming during the game tomorrow night.

I noticed that. I really think it might be something about a name change. I really do.

I hope but I really really don't want to be that guy and it be something as simple as about signing Pargo for the rest of the season.
