I don't have much of a problem with him looking like a bust as a #7 overall pick that was a project to begin with just as long as he doesn't come looking for a pay raise until he's shown some obvious improvements. This also make me a little skeptical of Cho's ability to scout talent but drafting any player outside of the top 3 is usually a hit or miss anyway.

I agree. A #7 pick certainly has risk. I was a bit shocked by the pick when I was watching the draft but I didn't yell at the TV like I did when they picked Morrison at # or Augustin while Lopez was still on the board. I'm lamenting that Biyombo hasn't progressed this year but still hopeful he will break out next season.

Great new title as it is appropriate until he shows us something different.

So, 14 games left to see if Biz can do anything more this year....
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Lol. Im not a big fan of Biyombo, but I have faith in him. If Tyrus
Thomas can get a " work harder" thread than Biyombo deserves better :)

I just don't get the point of dumping on Biz whom we all know is a project. Kemba can't pass, MKG can't shoot, Hendo can't play against crappy teams, and Taylor can't check into the game without crapping his pants but we don't put their glaring weaknesses under the microscope and make fun of them nearly as much as Biz. It's not like Biz bobbling a pass or two a game is costing us games.

I have tempered expectations for Biyombo but I still think he will be in the league 10+ years and he will start figuring it out at around age 23-24. The hope is that he is still on the Bobcats/Hornets by then and not that we didn't resign him because he showed little promise. I still think he can and will be a 10/10/2 player in his prime

The fact that a description of Biyombo's current production and progress (or lack thereof) is viewed by some as "dumping" is precisely the point. Biyombo's lack of progress is concerning. Lets hope he makes some big strides next year. But lets not fool ourselves that this guy is at best a roleplay deep on the bench of an average NBA team right now. There are alot of players are the 4 and 5 I'd take right now in a straight up trade for Biyombo - in fact there are more I'd take than I'd not take.

It's amusing how some of you Charlotte fans get down on your young players if they're not Shaquille O'Neal or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar by their first or second year. Larry Sanders had almost precisely the same stats as Biyombo does his first two years. In short, Sanders did nothing his first two. And he's about three years older than Biyombo. I'm not saying Biyombo's going to be the next Ben Wallace or Bill Russell, but from what I've heard, he's a heck of worker and has youth and athleticism on his side. Give him time.

Thank you. We've needed a voice of reason on the Biyombo topic for a while.

I am ashamed to say I kinda wanted vesely, but I really wanted Kanter so I think it all evens out

I thought Vesely would be gone by then (was sure Cleveland or Toronto would take him and the other take Valanciunas) so I didn't even pay much attention to them. All I wanted was one of Kawhi, Faried, or Klay, and my number one priority: Bismack. Obviously I was thrilled when we selected Biz. Still like him and still far too early for any kind of verdict on him, since he's more or less what I expected him to be at this stage.

Same, I wanted Kanter, Kawhi, Vesely. Pretty much that order.

I'm happy with how it turned out.
