i'd be happy with Parker and McDermott, MKG can be our version of Tony Allen and be an all-nba defender, Parker can be our scorer and McDermott can be our 3pt ace off the bench, and with the other pick assuming we get it can draft best all-around player available

Watching Kentucky play preseason cupcake Montevallo. Julius Randle looks like Anthony Bennett with muscles and a motor. He is a beast.

Poor UNCA has to play them Friday

Who is this James Young kid, G, on Kentucky? He's really good. Defensively he's got arms out to here and is just tenacious, like Patrick Beverly on D.

He definitely profiles as the type of high character player Charlotte has been targeting throughout the rebuild. Plus he will be showcased on TV in Carolina. Seems like a good ticket seller.

With our pick, I'd like Parker so I hope he comes out. With any other picks (DET/POR) plus MKG I'd like to bring in an established young shooting guard, a real star player to go after a playoff spot with Kemba and Jefferson.

We're batting .500 with Dukies, maybe we can get one that can actually fill it up.

I'd like Parker too. The question is what happens to MKG, but with MKG being able to play 3 positions and I truly believe Parker can play the 3 and 4 I don't think minutes would be an issue. Parker would be a really good small ball 4 in my opinion when we go to that lineup. Then have MKG play the 3. When you go big, then just have MKG at the 2 and Parker at the 3. Then different rotations get the rest of their minutes.

I like Parker at the 3 and I don't like MKG at the 2 - at all.

It's pretty simple for Charlotte in this upcoming draft. They need to draft the best player available that doesn't play PG or C. I don't see no harm in them drafting Wiggins or Parker to play SF, and let MKG come off the bench if he can't outplay the rookie for the starting job. There's no need to hinder team progress just because one draft pick hasn't developed as fast as you may have wanted

Our team constantly drafts for need, not talent though.

we can't draft Drummond, we have Biz there
we can't draft McLemore/Noel, we have Henderson/Biz there

Fortunately, this draft should have a plethora of positions we need to fill. But if we pass on a Julius Randle or Parker b/c we have Zeller penciled in as PF of the future, I'll be royally pissed.

well Noel has a torn ACL so i completely understand not drafting him and hes barely 220lbs, and i think MKG can play SG and be our Tony Allen, i most want a SG, maybe Marcus Smart he is more of a SG that a PG i think 6'4 220 built like Dwyane Wade

the #8 pick in 2014 draft would probably be a top 3 pick in the 2013 draft

Look at all that talent there. Notables missing from the list - Montrezl Harrell, Mario Hezonja, Isaiah Austin, Glen Robinson III, Wayne Selden, Mitch McGary, Willie Cauley-Stein, Gary Harris.

Just think, we could end up with 3 of those guys or 2 of the very best ones if we package DET and POR (present or future pick status).

Dante Exum, Marcus Smart, James Young, Wayne Selden, and Gary Harris should all be on Cho's watch list

Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle, and Jabari Parker are no brainers if they are within range

According to Chad Ford's top 10 and the notables left off, one possible combination is Wiggins + Young (let's say 9) and Cauley-Stein (let's say 13).

Imagine if we walk away from the draft with Andrew Wiggins/Randle/Parker/Exum + James Young + Willie Cauley-Stein.

I would much rather Charlotte draft another wing or backup PG instead of Willie Cauley-Stein if they get a additional late lottery pick. They already have Al Jefferson, Bismack Biyombo, and Cody Zeller in the frontcourt as investments. Adding another big would become redundant unless they plan on trading one of them

I want no part of Smart. He can't shoot or pass. The best thing going for him are those precious intangibles that aren't doing us much good. We need guys with NBA ready skill.

I couldn't get much out of the guy from school who played against Exum. He just kept on saying how unstoppable and quick he was for someone that tall.

The best case for us in this draft is insane. The worst case is equally insane. Draft watch should be particularly fun/maddening the last couple months of the season.
