Very colorful I know, but there's a legend below the screenshot that details everything (dead money, qualifying offers, non-guaranteed money, etc.). I learned some stuff putting this together: like the fact that Pargo and Tolliver made more money than their cap hit due to taking the veteran minimum, how JT's salary was configured (which I use to make a formula to determine an estimate of what our 2nd round pick may make), how to calculate 10-day contract amounts, etc.
The most relevant thing right now is the draft pick table. As you can tell, right now the Detroit pick is listed as "Stays in Detroit." However, if they fall back in the lottery, changing the "8" to a "9" (or later) will instantly return the cap hits of that pick for the next four years and the fifth-year qualifying offer (listed like the Portland pick below it). I also added an "Acquired Pick" option, just in case we swing a trade. Say you wanted to play with the possibilities and see the cap impact of acquiring the 14th pick, simply type "14" where the "0" is and the yearly cap hits will pop up.
This is all tied to the "Cap Space" option toward the bottom of the screenshot, so you can see the cap impacts of McBob not returning, getting the Detroit pick, trading up for a higher pick, etc. For instance, right now we're on pace for about $16.5m in cap space if the picks fall as they are listed now, but getting the ninth pick immediately takes our cap space to just shy of $14m.
There's also other tabs for future RFA, UFAs, Rookie salary table, and minimum salary table. Here's a link to the file if you'd like to play with it:
