Bonnell has actually been somewhat constructive this off season thus far with his tweets.

I actually cringed when I saw this photo. Looks like a mangled body - like he's just been hit by a bus. Good lord Price, help!

http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2014/06/charlotte-hornets-steve-clifford-no-summer-substitute-for-working-out-with-the-coaching-staff.html

The Charlotte Hornets had nearly half the roster working out in mid-June at the team’s practice gym Wednesday.

It wasn’t just the kids, either. The group included center Al Jefferson, shooting guard Gary Neal, point guard Kemba Walker and small forwards Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Jeff Taylor.

None of them were obligated to be there. But it’s become the norm since Steve Clifford became coach a year ago. Clifford has let the players know that’s his expectation.

“This is the way it has always been in the places I have been in. I don’t think it’s common throughout the league,” Clifford said after coaching Walker’s workout.

“To really get better, they should be here with us. They should be here because our coaches know them better; they know what they should be working on.”

Some players instead will leave town and hire personal trainers or outside coaches to tutor them in the summer. Clifford doesn’t see that as matching what the staff provides:

“A lot of guys will give them good workouts but (they’re) not going to be able to say to any of these guys all the time, ‘You’ve got to go a little harder. You need to do this, you need to do that.’

“I also think they need to take advantage of (strength and conditioning coach) Matt Friia, who is excellent. They can’t do that unless they’re here in Charlotte. They know that’s how I feel. I think it’s great they’re here and I also think it’s where they should be.”

Biz has pretty good form on his shot, but I'd like to see him keep the ball above his shoulders. His bad habit is to "re-set" himself by bringing the ball down to his waist, so as to get a good jump. I'd also like to see him look for his offense. Even if it's ugly early on.

Good to great strength, decent touch on jumpers, explosive leaper, vacuum cleaner on the boards...

Yep, all he needs is aggressiveness [attitude] to take it to the next level offensively. And I'm okay if that next level is average.

Zeller has that problem of bringing it down a little towards his waist before he brings it up as well. Good to see that both of them are working their asses off though.

I don't think anyone is working harder than MKG though. Seems like hes with Price about every day.

Well, I'd have to slightly disagree here :) . I think he's got all the right instincts around the basket, but he's still away from being confident enough to show it more than just occasionaly, not to mention his still developing skills. I like Biz very much, he's very talented defensively and if he can improve his offense to 10 pts/g on .50 FG, I'd find him a very useful player in rotation. He fears noone 8-)
Should he develop his jumper, he might even become a very solid player in the league. It's a long way, but I can see him getting there.

Not that he's only young Hornet that shows some promise. Honestly, I am sure that in a year or two many will envy Charlote on having MKG, Cody, Biz :) Defense wins championships and I see amazing defensive potential there, yet with decent offensive capabilities.

What's that with Adrien? I really liked Rocky, and I like him even more now when he posted some really good numbers with Bucks. Not bad if he resigns, should there be space.

@IAmDPick
Ex-UConn guard Jerome Dyson (@slicenanddice) has been invited to training camp by the Charlotte Bobcats, I'm told.

I've always thought that a little running hook/floater would be lethal for Biz with those long arms of his. I do not want Adrien back, I said it.

I love Jerome Dyson. If he wouldn't have messed up his knee in college he definitely would be on an NBA team as a end of the bench energy/defense guy.

I know. I love it. I was hoping we would sign him last year. I'm pretty sure we brought him to training camp or something like that.
