NBA2k15 Thread

Any 2K fans on here? I was looking at the 2k15 player ratings (that have been trickling out) and your Hornets look like they're going to be a very solid team. I was just curious as to your thoughts on who was undervalued.. Over?

Rating
87 Al Jefferson C CHA
84 Lance Stephenson SG CHA
82 Kemba Walker PG CHA
78 Gerald Henderson SG CHA
77 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist SF CHA
75 Gary Neal SG CHA
74 Brian Roberts PG CHA
73 Cody Zeller PF CHA
73 Bismack Biyombo C CHA
73 Marvin Williams SF CHA
72 Noah Vonleh PF CHA
72 Jeff Taylor SF CHA
71 P.J. Hairston SG CHA
67 Jannero Pargo PG CHA

Personally, I think this team is very talented and likely a top 4 team in the east. If one of your young pieces emerge the Hornets quickly become a contender in the conference. Looking forward to watching your Hornets.

They have a new scale going, so I can't say for sure, but I'd certainly put MKG ahead of Henderson, Hairston above Taylor, and Neal and Zeller below Marvin. Biz is probably undervalued for his defense, but his terrible offense probably drops him down there, so I can't complain too much. Jefferson, Lance, and Kemba's rankings seem very fair. Can't wait to play it.

The only thing i disagree with (or am surprised by) is Gerald, i'd swap him and MKG (whose offense should be the only thing keeping him out of the 80's)

Yeah, it helps to put their ratings into perspective by looking at the players around them (which is why I posted the link to the complete list). I'm looking forward to playing it too.

At least NBA 2K know Messy Marv is as much trash as I think he is. I'm surprised Taylor isn't in the 60s like he should be.

Lance is underrated badly on this game.

You think? I mean he's rated on par with Ibaka, Bosh, Dragic, Lawson, Z-Bo, and a point or two behind Kawhi, Derozan, Kyrie, Cousins, Lowry, Wade, Wall... He's ahead of Horford, Klay Iguodala, Drummond, Bledsoe, Kemba, Holiday... Don't think I can argue with that at all. May be a tad generous tbh.

I must say that looking at rankings 21-60, the ratings are way closer than they've ever been to accurate.

On 2K14 I just never could score all that well with Al, hopefully his post moves are more nasty on this years game

Not to bad, I'm surprised that Henderson is rated as highly as he is given his previous ratings. Can't help but feel that Al is a tad underrated though.I would have loved to see him at 89 overall.

Al is tied for the second highest rated center. Dwight is an 88 and Noah is an 87. He was definitely underrated last year, he definitely isn't this year. He is tied for the 19th highest rated player overall. And only 4 players top 90. He is right at the top.

Awesome to see the recognition creep out to the mainstream.

I pre-ordered this for PS4 the other day and I cannot wait.

On a random side note, I was playing CHA vs DET on 2k14 online last night and I swear all my opponent did was jack 3s with Rodney Stuckey, jack 3s with Josh Smith, shoot free throws with Andre Drummond, and dunk on my guys with Jonas Jerebko and give up open threes. He essentially played the EXACT way you don't want the Pistons to play, and they still nearly won

if any of you are looking to join a ps4 2k15 league let me know.

Its a sim style league with 12 min quarters and hof/sim difficulty settings. We look for people who are more about playing the game the right way vs what you see in quick matches.

I read a bunch of stuff about mycareer mode but when I started one it was just the same as last years. Is it because I bought it for 360?

Graphics and player animations are great. It blows last year's game away and I thought 2K14 was pretty great. Kemba and Lance are monsters online, still can't score with Al to save my life. MyCareer mode for me started like they said with 10 day contracts, pretty neat working your way up. The amount of detail in the game is stunning, they did a great job.

Figured it out. 2k15 is totally **** for last gen consoles. They haven't done any roster updates let alone any new features.
