He averaged pretty terrible stats with Miami. 1/1/1 on 25/25/40

At Kansas he averaged 11/5/4 on 45/35/80 his senior year.

in case people want to know more about Marcus Garrett...

Spoiler:
Oct '22 - For the second time this year, Miami Heat guard Marcus Garrett will miss an extended period of time because of a right wrist injury. Garrett, who is one of the Heat’s two-way contract players, is dealing with a fractured right wrist that will have him in a cast for at least the next four weeks. He will be re-evaluated following that four-week period, the Heat announced on Tuesday. This injury comes just months after Garrett, 23, underwent surgery to fix the instability in his right wrist in January. “You really do feel for him,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said following Tuesday’s practice at FTX Arena. “He’s had such a tremendous summer. He’s really been diligent with first of all getting his wrist healthy and then preparing him for summer league. He had some great moments and then August and September have just been outstanding. So we’ll take care of that with him and get him healthy.” The Heat waived Garrett from his two-way contract last season when he had to undergo surgery on his right wrist.

Slightly off topic, but your former end of bench player Marcus Garrett signed a contract with a German team like 3-4 days ago and his contract was terminated.

The reason is that he wanted to smoke weed, even though he was told it isn't legal yet in Germany and wanted to fly by plane to every away game, even though some opponents are so close by, that they share the same airport.

He's a good defender, but he can't shoot.

I would probably make a bet he never plays more than 50 mins for the Hornets big boy team and feel rather confident in it.

I don't doubt you at all I just wonder why they would trade a 2nd round pick for him

The swarm traded a 2nd, that is not the same as Hornets trading a 2nd for him.

Hopefuly Nick focuses on his defensive deficiencies and getting to the rim in an easier environment.

We know he can shoot it.

Not bad for Nick but would like to see his efficiency climb. 20 shots should produce 30 or more. Some of that is just playing in the G-league, but if you send him there to develop..

Actually the Hornets have more of my players (or players I once scouted) than I thought.

Ball
Mann
Miller
Martin

Bailey
Bouknight
Black
Allegri - I wish they would call him up and give him a shot.

Swarm still the only g league franchise to never have a winning season. That's hard to fathom. No way it's not, in some level, related to the disfunction and cheapness of the organization.

It 100% is, and is the same exact reason why our summer league teams always look like they aren't competitive compared to everyone elses. This franchise has been run really well from like a branding and community perspective. But if you take that away and only look at basketball operations, I can't think of another pro team that's been worse.
