So the Hornets
1. Drafted
* Kemba - who is great but needs a 2nd ball handler / passer to be his best.
* MKG - who can defend but not score
* over 9000 PF/C types
2. Tried to get Hayward and failed.
3. Traded for Nic & had to pay $$ for his unique skillset.
Had they done a better job drafting or had gotten Hayward somehow ... even if it had cost them MKG ... the team wouldn't be in this situation with Nic. Kemba needs him. In theory his shooting helps MKG. On paper he's almost exactly what the team needed. In practice he's a complementary guy. He should be the 3rd best guy on offense.
At this point I guess we hope for a great trade, a home run in next year's draft, or that Frank makes major steps.
