Welcome to Charlotte Aaron (?) Harrison

Whichever twin you are.

@WojYahooNBA
Undrafted Kentucky guard Aaron Harrison has agreed to a two-year deal with Charlotte, league source tells Yahoo. He has impressed so far. Harrison deal includes a partial guarantee this season, and a team option next year. He has made strong impression on coach Steve Clifford.

Anyone think we try to move PJ +Williams/roberts with this signing?

Or is this more of a grab at future tallent ?

A good, low risk, cheap way to fill out the roster.

How many deadweight guards do we need? PJ, Roberts, Daniels, and now Harrison. I guess this means that we got one more roster spot left. I wonder if it'll be a SF or C.

That's what I'm wondering. We got too much deadweight with this signing.

With this deal our MLE must be aimed at a center. Only five bigs on the roster and Zeller and Al both coming off injured seasons leaves us thin.

Yup, problem is there isn't much out there. Though I wonder if we move PJ for a depth big and then use the MLE on a wing.

I'm thinking we go Center. I think we stagger the minutes to where MKG and Batum what the 3 or we just use Lamb as a backup 3 (Kuz of his wingspan)

Could move Roberts to a team with too many bigs like Houston. Maybe Roberts and a protected 1st for Jones.

Well I will take Harrison over Roberts, Hairston, and Taylor. Taylor we need to keep because of size. Wait is Taylor even still on the roster?

We need a way to move Roberts, Hairston, and Marv for one 5th big. Cho will likely keep Marv though as MKG injury insurance

Ha! That's a wet dream. Terrence Jones would become our best PF and Zeller would be 3rd string PF or 2nd string C in no time.

Correct, we've got one roster spot open.

Would seem like Roberts is the odd man out, but I'm not sure about Harrison getting meaningful minutes as a rookie in his first year trying to play PG if Kemba or Lin gets hurt.

Happily no.

Haha, no Taylor is gone.

PG: Kemba, Lin, Roberts
SG: Batum, Lamb, Daniels, Harrison
SF: MKG, Hairston
PF: Zeller, Kaminsky, Marvin
C: Al, Hawes

One spot left and we basically have $5.4m to spend.

No, he's an unrestricted free agent and given our wing and guard depth, doubt he sticks around.

Wing depth look weak. Lamb is the only decent backup we have and even tho I believe in him he's unproven. The only sensible thing would be for Marv to go back to SF where he's prolly better at.

I can agree with that, which only reinforces the need for another big.
