Curry might need to come East to get back to the Finals. Charlotte anyone?

It's too bad we didn't land Dante Exum. An Aussie with a North Carolina born and bred father. I'm sure this board would have been in love with him.

Noah has apparently told bulls teammates that he will not be returning. I wonder if the lure of playing with Batum would mean anything to Noah.

I would love Noah. He just hasn't stayed healthy.
Lin/Batum/Noah would be a hell of an offseason, in a health vaccum.
Then save money for next year's Steph Curry addition.

I don't support domestic violence. Thanks Miles

Get a center who can block shots and average more than 6 rebounds. Tell big al to take a hike. Thats a start. Then sign Lin, batum, and marvin. Build on the success from last season. Go after Noah hard. Tell him he can be a main focus on offense along with walker. Both NY guys maybe walker can lure him in.

Re: Charlotte Hornets Offseason Plan
If we sign Noah I think it's a necessity that we either keep Marvin or add another stretch big. And ideally we'd also bring Lin back because there isn't much out there in free agency and the trade options available to us aren't ideal.
To accomplish that Hawes' contract pretty much has to be moved with minimal salary coming back. It's definitely doable, but we'll have to give up something to make it happen.

Did you guys listen to the Hive Talk Live podcast with Adam Chin (Baseline Buzz)? Sounds like a huge Hornets fan and a homer. Tried too hard to convince people that Charlotte is the best choice for Howard and Lin. He even said that if Lin didn't come to Charlotte last offseason he might not be in the league now (or something like that). I understand he wants players to sign here but a lot of his opinions are twisted IMO.

Imo he has bounds with Horford, Deng and couple more, but not as much with any french player. He was raised in NyK - and his heart is there imo, the knicks would be dumb not to jump on the opportunity - and his culture is american.
If he ever gets here, it would have more to do with business or his role on the team than anything else.

I think we would have to be willing to trade our 1st to move Hawes and I would be fine with that (we struggle to find solid players with picks that low) I would love to re-sign batum and lin and add a player like Noah or Howard but no idea if we can make it work money wise. Howard will command max money and I feel like Noah still will be in the 15 mill year range.

Im super iffy on Noah. If he is healthy and willing to sign for 12-15 mil per on a short'ish deal then hed be an amazing pickup, but idk... He looked sooo bad whenever i watched him last season. Seemed like he had nothing left in the tank.

this is my fear as well. He's had a long, grinding career up to this point.

Re: Charlotte Hornets Offseason Plan
he has played 70+ games 3 times in his career.
last 2 years
29 games- 4/9/4 on 38% shooting and 48% FT
67 games- 7/9/5 on 44% shooting and 60% FT
he is on the decline and its pretty obvious. he will be 32 next season, he has more bad contract potential than Nic does at a max.

Noah looks done. He can't even do his handoffs anymore because no one guards him. If cliff wouldn't play biyombo why would he play noah?

Noah is old, so that automatically means he deserves minutes in Cliff's book.

I think it's important to remember that just because you have money to spend (i.e. cap space) doesn't mean you should spend it. We need to be confident that we will get good value out of any contract we hand out. And that doesn't just mean guys playing out their contract here; if we sign players to good contracts they will have value on the trade market.

Might have something to do with the fact that Noah's average number of assists per season is 50% higher than Biz's career total spanning his entire five year career.
