Important: Temporary Crackdown Policy On Derailing Discussion

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Wed Mar 9, 2016 11:52 pm

RealGM Charlotte Hornets Posters,

A few months ago, RealGM Charlotte Hornets Forum Senior Moderator Fatlever made an announcement concerning some Users derailing discussion in some threads with most of the action coming in the game threads.

viewtopic.php?f=53&t=1419389

While things have quelled a bit lately, I want to make sure discussion particular on the game threads is lively and not derailed during the playoff run.

So, effective immediately, if any User derails discussion in any thread, they will be subject to this policy.

- First Violation: Warning and Moderator has option of issuing a temporary suspension anywhere from 1-12 hours.
- Second Violation: Seven Day Suspension and/or Temporary Board Ban From RealGM Hornets Forum.
- Third Violation: Board Ban of at least six months from Charlotte Hornets Forum.

If you have warnings in the past or on other RealGM Forums, you could automatically be moved up to strike two or three.

Most Users on the forum will not be subject to this at all as you do not derail. However, Users who wish to go over the top in bashing a particular player because their favorite player is not getting any minutes or they feel the team is holding that player will be subject to this policy.

This crackdown which has been used on other forums for short periods in the past is meant to end the derailing that has brought down quite a few threads on this forum during this season.

If any Users have any questions, please feel free to post them in this thread.

As long as there's no power abuse like the Lakers board it's totally fine.

Thanks for the honesty.

Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated. Fatlever, with an army of mods to enforce his tyranny, has declared that he has a right (not only to MODERATE) but "to BIND us in ALL CASES WHATSOEVER" and if being bound in that manner, is not slavery, then is there not such a thing as slavery upon earth. Even the expression is impious; for so unlimited a power can belong only to God.
