Hall Of Fame

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Thu Oct 30, 2008 7:39 pm

Fats and I were thinking: We have a lot of really funny guys who post here and some all time classic one liners that appear from time to time. We thought it might be fun to have the really, really top shelf ones immortalized in a Hall Of Fame thread that will remain sticked for all time.

Here is how it works: So we can monitor what goes up the thread will remain locked at all times. We have created an e-mail account so if you see a post that you think is worthy of a nomination, you can copy the post and e-mail it to us at:

BobcatsRGM@yahoo.ca

Fats and I will look at the nomination and decide if it should go up or not and if the nomination is deemed worthy, we will post it.

Sound simple?

If you see that one of your posts has been posted and you would rather it not be posted in the Hall Of Fame, e-mail us at BobcatsRGM@yahoo.ca and we will take it down (but you should really wear it as a badge of honor!!).

Also, the posters who submit the nomination will remain anonymous - so if you want to nominate one of your own posts, feel free to!!

I still laugh when I think about reading this for the 1st time. It was posted while we watched the draft this year:

by W_HAMILTON on Fri Jun 27, 2008 12:53 am
Holy cow, that guy is skinny (Anthony Randolph). Augustin is more buff than him. That might be the skinniest guy I've ever seen.

That's one benefit of only reading stuff about players, instead of watching them play much, so many surprises on draft night! Who knew he was so skinny? Who knew Joe Alexander was white?

Mek's low post moves remind of watching white guys dance. They think they are good, but really its sad and pathetic to watch.

If you did literally throw a TV at Mek, at least you know he won't catch it and it'll probably hit him on the knee or foot and then bounce out of bounds

In the "Is a Wallace trade imminent?" thread:

Crash/Nazr for AK47.

The Bobcats would make more money from all the jerseys they'd sell to Fats and also from him upgrading to the expensive seats.

The Bobcats brought a bike to the tunnel so Sean May can ride and watch the games.

BigSlam's response
They should tie a pizza to a stick, attach the stick to his head and dangle the pizza just out of reach.

Before too long he'd be better than Lance Armstrong.

After a questionable blocking foul in the closing seconds of a close game with the Heat:

fatlever wrote:i'm pretty sure that if wade broke into dudley's house tonight, loaded a virus on his laptop, spit in his milk, took a dump on his carpet, cleaned his ass with dudley's toothbrush and then crept into dudley's bedroom and punched dudley square in the face while dudley was sleeping, a referee would jump out of the closet and whistle a blocking foul on dudley.

On the pro's and con's of drafting Stephen Curry:

fatlever wrote:I LOVE curry. i thik he is unreal. great shooter, smart, high IQ, humble, great passer, combo guard, son of dell freakin' curry, davidson grad. i mean, the only thing that could make me like curry more would be if we found out that he was actually born in europe and played semi-pro ball in france since he was 11.

so, all that being said..... we should probably stay far far away from him in june. from now on i only recommend we go after dumb as rock, oversized wings, been investigated for roid use the one year they were in college (before dropping out in March, after his team lost in the first round amid speculation the player was ineligble due to taking money from an agent when he was 7), with police records, refers to himself in 3rd person during interviews, has 4 kids from 3 different baby mommas, who can jump so high there is a youtube clip of them eating a piece of beef jerky off the rim while dunking and of course, they have, no less, than 10 threads on the general board, all started by ballboys, touting them as the next kobe.

that's the player i want to draft.

On if SteveMorrison15 (Ammo's biggest supporter) had, in the past, posted that Ammo was garbage:

SteveMorrison15 wrote:thruthefire i never said Morrison was garbage. That's the worse thing to say about someone.

Top 5 things SM15 would never say:
1- "Hey, That dude over there is really attractive."
2- "Officer, the body was dead when I found it."
3- "That's one ugly Laker girl."
4- "Adam Morrison is garbage."
5- "Yes Mr. Telemarketer, I am interested in your product."

see...

On Okafor's All Star reserve snub:

W_HAMILTON wrote:The resentment I have for David Stern not picking Okafor (or even Lee) as a replacement after Bosh went down was completely and entirely made up for after watching the first quarter of the All-Star game, and watching the West go on a 19-0 run culminating in the comical sight that was Rashard Lewis trying to guard Shaq.

I stopped watching after that, but it sounds like things only got worse from there.

They should have put Mo Williams little ass on Shaq, since he wanted to be in the All-Star game so bad.

in response to the question - is Durham just houses/farms?

Walt Cronkite wrote:These people are lying. It's full of barns and farmhouses. I would travel up more often (as I have a need for their fine grains and tobaccy), but I hate having to venture out there. You don't want to getcher pickup stranded in no man's land because you ran into a wild elk--taint no way to spend a fortnight while waiting for the next trainload of provisions to come in from the big city.
