He played the same number of games as Kawhi, 74.

Were Kawhi's missing games from intentional rest?

What difference does it make? You either played and contributed or you didn't.

I suspect it's a Harden/Westbrook race. It's all the media has been ramming down our throats all season long. Kawhichael probably gets his chance with voters next season.

Kawhi deserves top 3 but i dont see why its its not questioned more. Lebron played as good if not better imo. He was also involved in like 1 less win than kawhi whos team went 7-1 without him while brons team probably went 0-7.

Underrated season by lebron.

See this is what im talking bout. Lebron and kawhi had almost identical seasons yet one team went 7-1 without their superstar and the other lost every game without theres. Shoudnt this highlight lebrons case?

One player's team beat lottery teams, Warriors with no all stars, Raptors with no Derozan, etc.

Other player's team lost 6 of the 8 games on road in 2nd night of B2b (likely loss even with leBron), and 2 without Love too?

So no, no it should not.

Wins a win. We got blown out in almost all the games. Also what about on/off numbers between kawhi and bron? Also favour lebron.

Like i said im happy with kawhi at 3rd in mvp but i actually think its a debate.

still beating that horse
BobanSmash wrote:"7-1 without Kawhi" is the most falsely used statement trying to discredit Kawhi. Sure they were 7-1, but against who?

Lottery teams (Dallas, Sacramento, Brooklyn, Phoenix)
Toronto without Lowry
Portland without Lillard
Golden State without Curry, Durant, Green, Thompson, Iguodala

So you can go around telling people that Kawhi isn't important because spurs beat the Warriors without him but the truth is that the Spurs suck donkey **** witout him

Thoughts on the finals of this stupid race in regards to Harden, Westbrook & Leonard are always welcome.

I don't even now what you two are arguing about.

I know you are Cavs and Spurs fans and you want to see your guy win MVP but during the season it was a two player race, Westbrook and Harden. Yes, I know they were exposed in the playoffs while Kawhi and LeBron went god mode but this is the regular season MVP and LeBron was coasting and Kawhi's team did well without him, and they both missed a lot of games (injury or rest, doesn't matter) so they're not deserving the regular season MVP.

Honestly, we wouldn't be having this discussion if the league just had the award ceremony for the REGULAR SEASON at the end of the REGULAR SEASON.

I think Westbrook should and will win.

I also hope this is the last time they drag the awards till June or alternatively give only one MVP that includes regular season+playoff performance.

Spurs with Kawhi..up 25 against the Warriors.

Spurs without Kawhi...verge of being swept.

That 7-1 without him needs to be flushed down the toilet yesterday.

Really bad timing on this lol. Just announce it before the playoffs start or during the first round.

Kawhi and LeBron had similar stats, all things considered. People bring up games played, we point to Kawhi. Team record? LeBron is right there with Kawhi and Harden. It's hard to differentiate their stats..

At the end of the day, I believe of these 3 Harden should win.

But I think it's ridiculous that there are no finalists from the top 2 teams.

Lebron? and honestly kawhi didn't deserve to finish top 3 in DPOY this year. That just off rep

The list was fine, you can yell at cloud all you want but Cavs went like 23-22. it's a regular season MVP. Lebron was great but those other guys couldn't takes games off or play like that especially in the West. although if Lebron had replaced Kawhi it would have been understandable

Kawhi and Harden.

The only one who has a debate is a raw numbers inflated Westbrook based on the ever popular 'triple double' that doesnt factor in shooting percentages, efficiency, turnovers and defense. All of which LeBron is better at that Westbrook.

The national media wants to make Kawhi a thing so bad its lunacy when in real life his career high for assists is 8 and his team is better on defense when hes not on the floor. LeBron is damn near better in every statistical category than Kawhi--I have no idea why hes a thing over LeBron
