Following encouraging meeting with Dwight Howard, Rockets will look not to fall-back position free agents, but to pieces to go with him.

Rockets' next LA meetings will be with Corey Brewer and Mike Dunleavy, accordng to a person with knowledge of the plans.

Celtics offer Jeff Green for Asik, comes cheaper than Smith, is better at spacing the floor and much better shooter.

Is also equally if not more athletic than Smith. Can play multiple positions. Smith is better in one departement only and that's rebounding. Defensively they're about equal.

Might have exaggerated a little bit.

But I don't see it with Josh Smith, awful player.

Green is better overall IMO.

Lin´s hard to deal but Omer Asik will receive offers from 25 out of 30 teams!!!
For a top 5 C on D most of the teams will offer some nice pieces, the Rockets can get what they want for him!!!

asik will be a easy deal,

lin, i think he would be best in a team like the bucks, if jennings and ellis leaves in UFA and FA.
the bucks will need to fill their minimum cap anyways, and will be looking for a 1 and 2.

apparently they dont want to rebuild, so realistically, they can probably get a lineup of :

lin/ish?
mayo/dun dun
moute/illy
illy/henson/udoh
sanders/ayon

I wonder if Klay/Lee for Lin/Asik would interest them. Klay and Lee would fit amazingly well with Dwight.

Why would you want to do that?

Lin with Curry is a waste. Curry does everything better than lin at the point so moving curry to the 2 is a waste of his talents imo.

Lin would be the backup. Jack is going to leave, IMO.

Thats an awful expensive backup. That deal is crap for Golden State imo.

Who cares if the backup is expensive? You may not have noticed GS gets a legit center in the deal who plays for more than 30 games.

And financially, getting out of the 15.5 mill of Lee's final year helps make up for Lin's price tag.

Without looking into their payroll and yours why not just centre the deal around Lee for Asik and keep klay and not waste your money on Lin?

Lee would fit great for a dwight lead rockets team but of course they'd have to move Lin. A 3 team trade would work better. Seems like you're making the deal unnecessarily bad for your own team.

Get Rondo and let Canaan develop behind him. Sounds good to me.

Asik doesn't bring you anything besides rebounding

An ignorant thing to say. He's not Reggie Evans. Asik is one of the best low post defenders in the game and probably the smartest one of them (along with Marc Gasol and Tim Duncan, maybe). He can easily be in blocks leader discussion but opts instead to stay on his feet not to give silly buckets. And he sets great screens as well.

Here's what i was thinking, makes everybody better:

1 - Clips trade Bledsoe to Toronto for Derozan

2 - Rockets trade Lowry to Toronto for Asik

Asik

Gay
Ross
