Kobe got hot in the 4th qt until LeBron switched on him for the remainder of the game. Kobe can say whatever he wants but I'm not buying it. What do you expect? It's Kobe the ego Bryant, for him to say LeBron would roast him? In Kobe's prime different story, that would be fun to watch.

Dude you've been handed one of the best individual pieces in NBA history and you ain't even gonna make the playoffs. I'd worry about that before I start making these 1on1 remarks. All these remarks lately makes him look like an even bigger fool.

On a non-basketball related note, this reminds me of the people that play MOBA's or FPS's that lose but blame their teammates and claim they would kick anybody's ass 1 on 1.

Also, what a douche. We've basically been numbed to how big of a douche Kobe is. There would be a much bigger uproar about this if it were someone else. Oh well

It's hard to separate people's perceptions of how they see players live. People think that Kobe doesn't have the foot speed, handles, overall athletic ability to go around Lebron. Just watching Lebron and Kobe last night you can see the mismatch. Lebron is in his prime and Kobe isn't and it looks bad.

But if we asked this question anywhere from 2001-2007 I think it's a real debate. I don't think either one would dominate the other but Kobe would be able to do anything he wanted especially in his physical prime. I personally think the Kobe from 2001-2005 was his peak. He had Red Bull flowing in his legs and everything worked for him. I think the only way Lebron would be able to slow Kobe would be to deny him the ball which I think Lebron is very good at doing. But Kobe's inside/out game was so good that I believe he was a better streak shooter then than he is now and he could get to the rim at will.....

If we are talking right now than I would give Lebron a slight edge. Prime vs Prime Kobe is just as strong as Lebron and athletic.

I know what Kobe is going through. We are both the same age. Trying to hold onto his youth and getting a cold hard slap from reality. Just the other day I went to the movies and some girl there referred to me as "sir". Ugh...it hurts I tell you.

There is no one that could stop Lebron from scoring in a 1v1 game imo. Lebron would bull doze his way to the rim every time agaisnt him.

yea, i'm 33 and it is odd reading how kobe is old and done ... makes me wonder what i'll be next year.

No but seriously...how does Kobe rebound? Prime Kobe vs Prime Lebron and you want to know who's going to get the rebounds? Kobe will basically have to rely on outside shooting while lebron can still rely on posting. People talking about his post game not being that good...yeah sure maybe against other SF and PF but not against a SG in a one-on-one situation where there's no double-team. I'm not saying Kobe isn't good, but it's just a little ridiculous to think he could take someone bigger and stronger than him that can shoot just as well (better perhaps) and is just as good defensively though also has a defensive advantage because of length. What is Kobe's advantage? And how do they outweigh the stockpile of advantages that Lebron has?

i think it'd be close, and i wouldn't be surprised if either won. but i'd pick kobe.

kobe has a better shot and is more creative getting to rim (much better footwork). these are pretty big advantages when playing 1-on-1.

lebron is faster and stronger, but without screens from teammates or a full-court to run, those strengths are slightly diminished.

however, if this game isn't "officiated" and kobe's not calling charges... and lebron has free reign on driving heads-down, shoulder out, like a freight train, then yeah, he'd take the game, no question.
