Michael Beasley is clutch

Post#1 » by B-easy » Sat Apr 17, 2010 11:00 am

Clutch stats: http://www.82games.com/0910/CSORT11.HTM

I suddenly hate Coach Spo even more. Beasley has improved his defense heaps and he still doesn't get minutes in the fourth. I remember a game in Memphis when Wade was was injured and Beasley went for 30, hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. Hopefully he will get more minutes in the playoffs. thoughts?

My thoughts are you're a complete idiot homer troll that needs to keep his thoughts to himself or at least the heat boards... even better another message board entirely.

nice name calling. i think you're the one that needs to GTFO or take a chill pill.

stay on topic. the thread starter did provide that wade and beasley's clutch pts are not that far from each other. barely 3 pts apart. and the funny thing is, beasley doesn't even play much of the 4th quarter in favor of haslem.

put beasley in a team that doesn't have a ball dominant SG, and he will blossom. imagine if beasley was in bucks or new jersey nets. damn, beasley will put stats night in and night out.

and before you try to say anthing, i'm an orlando magic fan.

He's just a Beasley homer, not really a Miami fan. I'm a Heat fan and I do hope Beasley has a good series so his value will go higher and we can trade him. He just doesn't fit with the team, we need a low post scorer that attacks the paint, not a jump shooting PF. Like Wade said, this is a critical series for Beasley.

i agree. beasley doesn't fit miami's system. he can't afford to make a couple of mistakes too because spo inserts haslem right away

if i am riley, i'd try trading him for draft picks for this upcoming draft. the draft this year is deep.

I love Beasley but I want him traded. Like what many here said, we already have our PF in Amare/Bosh.

If he puts up respectable numbers with some highlight reels in the playoffs, we could get much more value for him!

I don't think scoring has ever been his problem. I think he still makes too many mental mistakes. I don't watch the Heat that often but when my team the Magic play the Heat it's clear he makes alot of mental lapses out there. The last time the Magic played them, Beasley would leave Lewis wide open for 3's near the end of the 4th.

Beasley is one of the most hated young players in the league.

I think his personality and the fact that he was so productive his one year at KState hurts him along that front.

Otherwise maybe people would take a step back and see for a player his age, there are few players right now who are more efficient.

And that's despite the fact that the guy doesn't play to his strengths which I put as much on the coaching staff than anything.

They do not stress nearly enough the concept of Beasley playing near the basket.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

I think that Beas will still turn out to be a very productive player but I don't think it will be with someone as ball dominant as Wade.

Let's stop this thread before it reaches 20 pages, half of which comprise of posts by I Never Lied, the man who's family was murdered by Michael Beasley.

Exactly. I think a lot of people are also hard on the guy because remember there was a time during his season at KState and Durant's rookie year when there was debate if Beasley could be as good or even better player than Durant in the NBA.

Well obviously now that looks like a complete joke and such a disappointment hurts Beasley as well.

But people need to stop talking about this kid like he's an NBA bust.

He's pretty good for a 2nd pick, but he doesn't have the ability to carry a team, imo.

Holy crap Wade shoots .388 in clutch situations, can you say choker? It's almost as bad as Durant's .356.

these guys are supposed to be MVP candidates?
