Bosh is not a down low scorer type of guy the Thunder would want.

Amare/Boozer/Lee are all better fits.

No he's not, but on the TnT board there was a chat about Green and some other filler for Biedrins and Buike i think?

Westbrook
Harden
Durant
Bosh
Biedrins

Best team in the league

That trade is being pushed by one of our W's posters that is absolutely infatuated with Jeff Green. Most Warriors fans would not do a Biedrins+whatever deal for Green.

They should better try to get Haywood.

With the deal Haywoods gonna get, I doubt they could sign both.

Odd man out is Green, and will likely always be the odd man if OKC try to add a low post presence. You wouldnt sign Bosh out right as you will have to go over the cap for roles players, but a S&T deal for Bosh sending Green, Collison and Ollie would be a good start. Just need a tall Centre with Ibaka being your 3rd rotational big off the pine.

just keep this young thunder team together, they have grown too fast, one more year they will be contender. just add a defensive big man but not another star

Don't both Bosh adn Durant play the same position? I say it wouldn't work.

Does adding a superstar big man like Chris Bosh to the middle (the only weakness I think they have) make them the favorites to win it all?

Link

CHRIS BOSH

Toronto’s late-season collapse has him asking for help from a franchise that has trouble getting it from anywhere but Europe. Thus, he’s considered the most likely big-ticket free agent to leave.

WHY HE’D COME: The Knicks’ two-max-contract salary-cap room means he could play the sidekick role for which he’s better suited, with a sign-and-trade involving David Lee considered possible.

WHY HE WON’T: He could be Wade’s sidekick just by signing with Miami and there’s even talk that Oklahoma City (close to his Dallas home) will make a run to pair him with Kevin Durant.

Imagine that lineup

Westbrook
Durant
Bosh

if the Knicks miss out on LeBron and Bosh, we would be more than happy to take Collison off your hands if you throw in Jeff Green, Maynor and/or a few draft picks :)

Bosh- 48% inside, 11.2 FTAper48
Amare- 49% inside, 10.7 FTAper48
Boozer- 51% inside, 6.9 FTAper48
Lee- 51% inside, 5.2 FTAper48

The idea that Bosh doesn't play inside as much as some of these other guys is completely false. When you take into account free throws, Bosh actually scores more inside than almost every other PF in the NBA.

Do we think that trading Collison and a future 1st rounder to a team under the cap for a future 2nd rounder would work? Would the other team need more compensation for enabling the formation of a dynasty?
Would Toronto consider that sign and trade?

Westbrook/Harden/Durant/Green/Bosh
+Maynor/Sefolosha/Ibaka/Krstic
+Shakur/Weaver/White/Mullens
That's a capped-out thirteen man roster with 2 first rounders and 2 second rounders to come.

I would've added that but someone already covered it.

That being said, a greater percentage of Bosh's inside scores come off of drives, while Amare gets more dominant dunks, and Boozer/Lee get more postups. Bosh is still the one who relies on his face-up game the most, he is just very good at getting to the hoop with it.

It's more like 0% chance Presti would commit the $$$ to him.

Again, why pay $120 million to someone when David Lee might be close to half that price and still give the things we really need (high percentage scoring, big man passing, defensive rebounding)?

I think we'll get someone in the offseason, even if it's not a big FA maybe someone by trade, but Chris Bosh is very unlikely. I don't think he's worth the money to this team.

Chris Bosh will be making more than $20 million during the meat of his contract.

Maybe that's true for a lot of teams, but not the Thunder, who already have a dominant scorer, and a decent third / fourth / fifth option trio (Westbrook, Green, Harden). Chris Bosh would represent nearly 1/3 of our total payroll.. I don't think he's worth that to this team -- we don't really need him. OKC is not LAL.. won't be able to sign Bosh to a max deal and keep Durant / friends around like the Lakers with Gasol and Kobe. We need a clear #2 option that can rebound and preferably make some passes. David Lee does that stuff and would be much cheaper.
