Mark Jackson is not a human being. While I don't pretend to know the real Chuck, Ernie, and Kenny, I get a sense of what those guys are like away from the job. They seem like normal guys, with opinions, senses of humour, likes and dislikes, etc. Mark Jackson is like Bran Flakes, tasteless and boring, except Mark Jackson does not help promote healthy bowel movements.

He's a good foil for van gundy and that's it. He never generates any insight into the game so he needs someone like JVG there. Him and Reggie both have me muting the sound on games.

I pray for New Orleans that the rumors of him coaching there aren't serious. Can you imagine the time outs? "This is a big game and it's time for you all to step up." "No more excuses, just go out and exert your will on the game." "You can't afford to let Tyreke Evans beat you by driving to the hole. Do something else." Maybe it's just a way of saying they need Chris Paul to be player-coach?

Can't stand his catch-phrases. Just call the damn game, he is not a bad analyst, he just needs to stop the same catch-phrases. If he came up with new ones every once in awhile that would be ok, but how many times do I have to hear "hand down man down"? I got it already! Keep your hands up on D, got it!

Why is everyone bothered by his comments? A majority of the time he says them when the game is going to a commercial break and they show a clip of the play. Its not like hes saying HAND DOWN MAN DOWN every damn time someone hits a big shot. If anything JVG actually brings up Mark Jackson's catchphrases

I hate when he uses "hand down, man down" at the wrong time.

I remember recently he used it when a player was just rotating over late and a player hit a shot from the corner.
Or he just uses it when someone's hand is up as well as long as the shooter hit the shot.
