24ppg, 10.8rpg, 2.4ast, 1blk, .6stl, 51.8%FG%, 59.2% TS PER 25

and not make an all nba team??? Bosh should definitely have made it over Bogut, its an individual award and has nothing to do with your team.

Honorable mention should be Rose and Boozer

teams, for better or worse, definitely have something to do with voting.

Kobe has a legit shot as beating Malone's All-NBA(1st) record. I can't see anybody knocking him off over the next few years.

the general consensus is that players must come from winning teams. bosh may be talented, but because he's on the raptors he is (rightfully so imo) not included on any of the all-nba teams.

The raptors were 1 game out of the playoffs, and very possibly could have made it if Bosh wasnt injured down the stretch. Kobe was making first team as a 7 seed in 06-07 so....

How are there 3 guards on the All-NBA 1st team,1 SF, and 1 C? Doesn't make any sense.

Durant is a forward.

Just noticed that Paul got a bunch of votes as well. Best PG in the game when healthy but the dude played 45 games, c'mon man.

14 is not a 'bunch of votes'. It's not like he got any first place votes, and rightfully so.

7th seed in 06-07 West>1 game out of playoffs via losing out on a stretch run vs the 09-10 Bulls.

im from toronto, and i dont think bosh deserves it as the raptors choked so hard down the stretch. for once, the voters actually didn't mess up the voting.

The NBA should award the 1st team All-NBA with the best PG, best SG, best SF, best PF, and best C. Shouldn't be G,F,C. Would make the awards seem more legitimate.

If Wade has a good team next season, he could get more votes. Combined with Paul's comeback, and I could see it.

Not to mention this is assuming Kobe stays healthy and plays 70+ games every year.

Uhm... I wasnt comparing the two as players. Didnt Bosh miss like the last 5 games? They could have easily won one game had he played and made the playoffs.

The positions are too fluid and indeterminate for that to work.

Nothing too big to complain about. Bosh probably deserved it more than Pau or Bogut, but overall they didn't screw up, which is very suprising

no they shouldnt. alot of players can play multiple positions, it wouldnt be an accurate representation of who is or isnt deserving of making the teams.

First of all, some players like Wade and Amare play more than one position at different times in the game.

Second, restricting the teams like that makes it more likely you DONT pick the 5 best players. At the same time, restricting it to guard/forward/center means it still somewhat resembles the makeup of an NBA team.

IMO the way they do it now is the best of both worlds, have the 5 best players and you might get stuck with 3 centers one year or 4 guards another, keep positions strict and you would have had things like Nash over Wade and Dirk over Durant this year... oh wait nevermind, now I see why you feel this way.

I don't care that DIRK got All-NBA 2nd team or that Nash did, but there wasn't a true PG on the All-NBA 1st team this year. Deron Williams should be on the 1st team after the great season he had. I understand the 5 best players argument. Just seems weird.

Anyway, how in the hell did David West and Mo Williams get an All-NBA vote?
