Game 3 MVP?

Post#1 » by ropjhk » Wed Jun 9, 2010 2:10 pm

Keeping the trend going with my other thread for game 2, and since I didn't see another poll on this subject. Now I ask the RealGM nation to elect their game 3 MVP!

This might be a tough one, because no single player on any team had a terrific game.

People are gonna give it to Fisher for his heroic performance in the 4th last night, and I have no problem with that. But this game shows people who the best 2-guard defender is in the league. Kobe was the Lakers help defense tonight. He played spectacular defense.

*Edit: Kobe's percentages dont really tell the whole story as the Lakers would dump it to him to take a miracle shot with 3-4 seconds left on the shot clock.

Ray Allen did more to give the Lakers the win than anything, so I'd have to say he was the Lakers' MVP. They say he had a lot of good looks too.

I was calling Kobe VC last night because thats how he was playing. He was taking stupid off balance fade aways with someone guarding him and I don't think I saw him pass even ONCE after the first quarter. If he did it was 1 or 2 times out of 25

yep this was bad Kobe very bad, he was looking for fouls rather then focusing on the shot.

I wish he had been looking for fouls driving to the basket though at least. Despite his late shot clock shots, whenever he got the ball he never dribbled closer to the basket and when he finally did in the fourth, he hit that shot from the top corner of the key.
