Yeah but Shaq doesn't respect Howard, I just don't see it happening. I don't think Howard respects Shaq either. At this year's all-star weekend when Barkley asked Howard why he stole Shaq's nickname, Howard's response was "How old is Shaq now, what 40? It's my time now."

That's all talk, how many people has Shaq badmouthed through the media?

The main thing for Shaq is that he wants to play alongside all-stars...he's played with Penny, Kobe, Wade, Nash/Amare, Lebron....remember when he went to PHX? he was talking about how he was going to increase Amare's game or something.

All that talk is nothing if Shaq gets final say and can take glory in making a team or player even better. He made up with Kobe. Would SVG and DHoward welcome Shaq? who knows, but they sure as hell are not going to get far with their current lineup. It would be perfect marketing to be welcomed back to either with the LA Lakers or the Orlando Magic.

Well, I can't see him playing for SVG, when you remember what Shaq said about him, called him the "Master of Panic", impossible to play for a coach if you don't respect their methods or personality. In fact of every coach in the NBA I think SVG is the only I'd say Shaq would definitely not play for. There are better options than Orlando anyway. San Antonio with a bit of tweaking could still compete for a title. I can see him playing with Duncan. Or he might just go wherever LeBron goes (which includes Cleveland).

I don't think Shaq will sign with Orlando, but I think it would be a smart move if they fired Stan Van Gundy. He does not have the right demeanor for an NBA head coach

I can see Shaq going with Lebron as well. I'm not sure if San Antonio has anything left to compete for the title, who would they get? there are other teams, with tweaking, that could possibly contend for a championship.

Shaq has already dissed Phil Jackson as well, calling Pat Riley "the best coach I've ever played for" but I can still see him returning to the Lakers alongside Kobe and Phil. Jerry Buss would be the main issue to deal with.

Shaq just gets defensive, he got called out by SVG for flopping. If Shaq can bury the feud with Kobe, especially after all that crap he talked about him and continued to talk about him (KOBE...tell me how my a$# taste?...as long as Shaq can still get attention and be a part of a winning team, that's where I think he ultimately tries to go to.

Which reminds me, how about Chicago? haha

Don't need to trade Dwight Howard. Either Shaq comes off the bench or they put Howard at PF (his real position). Perfect way for Shaq to say he will "pass the torch" and train the next Superman or whatever and he gets his chance to make good with Orlando again...or do the same with the Lakers and Bynum.

In his own words, "marketing".

Please, explain to me how Howard is a PF.

He's simply undersized at Center. Why can't he be a PF? no jumpshot?

was just about to post this

Dwight is a center in every sense of the word. No way he can play PF. A true PF needs to be able to distribute the ball from the elbow, needs to be able to face up to the basket, should have a simple 10 foot shot to clear space under the basket, should be comfortable defending outside of the paint, I could go on. Dwight is way too clumsy offensively to be a PF. And he's not really good at reading the defense and distributing the ball.

Wow. By that description, he's not skilled enough to be a PF so that's why he's been dumped at C.

It's like, "Dwight! Don't move! Just stand under the basket and try not to mess anything up, okay?"

I think he might go back to LA to make-up with the Buss family to get his jersey retired.
Wherever he lands he is going to have to lean to keep his mouth shut(no disrespect) and come off the bench.
