This is ridiculous. The Jazz lost Korver, Matthews, Boozer and blew this years lotto pick on a bust. That's gotta suck. All these years dangling the 2010 Knicks picks as if it was gold only to blow it on Gordan Hayword. What a joke.

Granted the management made up for it with the acqusition of Jefferson. But still have plenty of holes to fill in their roster.

A healthy Rockets team is good enough to challenge for the WC. Lets not act like the Lakers are unstoppable or anything.

No.

Even with Yao healthy the Rockets is not a contender, because even if Yao stays healthy he'll be injured...some truths are just so profoundly true they defy even logical contradiction...

Utah is better than all those teams besides LA.

This, if Yao is healthy he will most likely break his foot chasing down the ball or something. It just never stops, he will always be injured.

He'd only play like 20-25 minutes per game. Especially Rick Adelman not wanting to destroy Yao's Career. If he were able to go the distance say like 35-40 minutes a game, the Rockets would be dangerous. But they are middle of the pack in the west.

This is Yao's first time taking like, a full year and a half off bball (previous career high off bball was like, 3 weeks lol) , so I think he's more likely healthy this year than previous years. I think he'll do it this year. All those other years he came off summers playing while injured in China. That's what hurt his health chances the most IMO. I think he'll be fine once he recovers fully towards the 2nd half of the season.

Adelman: 889-571; .609 winning percentage in 19 seasons as an NBA coach (POR, GS, SAC, HOU); 2 NBA Finals appearances.
Sloan: 1190-780; .604 winning percentage in 25 seasons as an NBA coach (CHI, UTA); 2 NBA Finals appearances.

So, how exactly is Sloan better than Adelman again? Sloan has more wins only because he's coached 6 more seasons than Adelman has. Also, Adelman has the same amount of Finals appearances and a better winning percentage. Adelman also has a winning record in the playoffs. Sloan? Nope. I'll take Rick Adelman over Jerry Sloan any day...

We could give the Lakers a run for their money if Yao plays 20-25 minutes, but we could beat them if Yao plays 30-35 minutes and if that Iggy rumor is true.

Brooks>Fisher
Kobe>Iggy
Martin>Artest
Gasol>Scola
Yao(healthy)>Bynum(healthy)
Bench: Lowry,C-Bud,Battier,Patterson,Miller>>>>>>>>>>>Blake,Vujacic,Walton,Odom,Mbenga
We have 2 elite defenders to throw at kobe but lakers can throw artest at martin. So Lakers have slight edge.
Yao>Gasol Bynum>Scola Lakers have better bigs.
Brooks>Fisher We have a HUGE edge that we have to take advantage of.
Coaching:Jackson>Adelman
It would be a very exciting 7 game series.

And that annoying Jazz fan. Who got swept by the Lakers with their 2 stars healthy, and who took them to 7 without their 2 superstars.

If Yao is healthy, I see Rockets being top3-5 team in the league and might give some challenge to the almighty Lakers.
