Tracy McGrady Rumored To Be In Talks With Olympiacos

The Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus and Tracy McGrady are said to be talking about a deal. 3 years and €7.7 million euros net income (after taxes). €2.5 million net, €2.6 million net, €2.6 million net. Plus his agent's fees paid by the club.

Equal to a 3 year $18.8 million dollar NBA contract, which is a little more than a full NBA mid-level exception contract for 3 years, which is the asking price of McGrady. In addition to his salary, McGrady would also receive a sea side villa, a maid and/or cook, and a car - all provided to him by the club.

He would also receive endorsements through the club's sponsorship and marketing partners. The contract would also include zero cost opt out clauses after each of the first two seasons, for if McGrady wanted to return to the NBA.

it was rumored, with the villas and all. i think it was US, but everything would of been paid for. but he would probably lose most of his endorsement if he did that. with endorsements/salary he makes around 40-45 mill now so its not really worth it for him

It wouldn't be horrible idea for him. Tmac believes if he is healthy he can be an all-star again. Teams may be offering roles that don't allow for him to really showcase that he is healthy. A year over seas wouldn't be the worst thing for him.

Do you fans really think T-Mac can't contribute to a team? I'm not asking for 24ppg T-Mac but a 13 ppg T-Mac would be great to have in the NBA as a 7th or 8th man.

Stephon can still contribute, to a team. Even at his age and his skill level. They guy's career avg's are HOF numbers.

These guys may not be the players they once were however can still contribute to a team. This is just another sign that the NBA is becoming more WWE and TMZ rather than a legit league. You find roles for players, that is what a real gm's job is. Find a role convince that player of that role and let that player make that choice.
