Wasn't Derrick Rose abysmal in summer/preseason rookie year?

Rose sucked in the summer league, but averaged 14/5 in 28 minutes per game on 52% FG in the preseason.

He's going to be a very good player. Does to many things well to fall short. Not a MVP contender, but a multiple All-Star.

I don't get how calling someone a bust after 1 preseason game is wrong, but saying he will be a very good player isn't wrong. Turner seemed overrated in College, he's not quick or overly athletic to be a a great wing player in the NBA. Fundamentally he seemed good in college which can translate into a good role player in the NBA, but considering he was the #2 pick, it adds to the pressure of being more than just a role player.

6 months ago, when i said he will be a Shane Battier type of player (solid, an important piece in a playoff team but not a superstar) people laughed. There's nothing wrong in being Battier BTW, the guys who demand him to be a new Wade or Rose are the ones who have problem.
