As a basketball fan, I wouldn't mind this matchup at all. My two most hated opponents, so I'm guaranteed the enjoyment of watching one of them fail. On the flip side, one of them has to win, too. Beyond that, I think it would simply be good basketball between two good teams.

Really? Because they've got the best record versus +.500 teams and have beaten OKC (twice), Utah (in SLC), Denver (twice), Orlando, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas (without Dirk), and the Lakers by 15 points. Think before you post.

They've played a ton of games at home and I don't think they'll stay healthy all season.

If this was the matchup, I suspect Manu would be guarded by LBJ or Wade, so I wouldn't expect him to get great numbers. I would, however, expect Parker to have a field day and earn his 2nd Finals MVP.

I don't know, I feel the Heat are too strong defensively for the Spurs, and they'd have no answer for Wade or Lebron, whereas the Heat would have no answer for Parker.

I think the Celtics will make it in but I still think LA will be there also. Think about it the Spurs beat the Lakers off a tip in when we all agree the Lakers have been playing like crap. If they step it up in the Playoffs like most of us expect they will be able to beat the Spurs.

The Spurs thrashed the Lakers at full strength in San Antonio and now they beat them in their own building and it's because the Lakers are playing like crap?? Please son. The Spurs missed a hell of a lot of point blank shots, and the first half was garbage from Ginobili/Parker. We played great defense on Kobe and ultimately won the game. Stop making excuses, Lakers didn't play that bad, Spurs just outhustled them.

I am not worried about San Antonio AT ALL. I am worried about ourselves, we don't play at the level we should play, I think we have a better frontcourt, better backcourt, better coaching staff and even bench. Boston is the team which gives me nightmares

Seeing as I am not a Laker fan I am not really making excuses just stating my opinion. I really could care less who wins. The only team I want to win the finals are the Knicks(not gonna happen) or the Celtics(Shaq needs to get that ring).

I mean we have all been talking about how bad the Lakers have been playing lately. I personally don't take regular games to seriously. I don't think Miami is better than LA even though they killed them. I look at the team on paper and think the Lakers look stronger than the Spurs. If the Lakers continue to play like this than the Spurs will win sure. But if they step it up than I think the Lakers win. Sorry if it makes you mad but I just think the Lakers are the best team in the NBA the other than the Celtics. Now I don't watch a lot of Spurs so I don't know how good they can be. But on paper I take the Lakers.
