Can they legally enforce such a ban? What standing do they have to repress free speech? Does the first amendment extend to public assemblies in private locations. Could a season ticket holder ask for his money back as he felt his speech rights are violated and would choose not to attend Cavaliers games?

A ticket is just a license to attend a private sporting event.

Your free speech rights go out the window when you walk in the door.

For some reason, ignore the fact that your arena was probably paid 70% by public funding.

People think that the 1st amendment gives them the right to say anything, anywhere to anyone. It doesn't.

However, it is shady how most arenas are funded by tax payers and it's still such a private enterprise.
