We have some delusional people on this board if they really believe the coaches will vote in Kevin Love over players on teams that have winning records.

He could just do full court outlets all game. That'd be entertaining to see.

Let him take a full court shot. For the first shot of the game.

Exceptions are sometimes made. If they feel that Love has earned it with his hard work, then they'll reward him for it.

Are the Timberwolves still the league leader in pace?

I think he absolutely deserves an AS spot. If BJ Armstrong can make it, anyone can.

All star voting is a joke anyway. Numerous posts in this thread mention that Love can't get in because of his team's losing record.

Many people seem to dismiss the fact that Dwyane Wade got voted into the ASG in 2008. Oh yeah, the Heat's record that season was 15-67. But he got in because, hey, he's D-Wade.

He deserves consideration because what he's doing is simply amazing even if his team isn't winning many games.

To be the rebounder he is and can score takes desire and effort. Much more than a typical NBA player portrays and that to me is criteria to being an allstar in the NBA.

Before the season started I mentioned Kevin Love should be starting full time. I also noted that Minny needs to improve their front-line depth, but some Minny fans didn't support Kevin Love, and now he has their support.

I supported Kevin Love to start, but with the talent in the West, I won't say he should be automatic to make the All-Star team.

Fans don't care about team record when voting.

Coaches do.

By "some Minny fans" you mean Kurt Rambis, I presume.

In my book, Kevin Love is a all star and maybe the MIP of this season. Timberwolves are headed in the right direction!

he's an exceptionally talented player but there are too many big names that will go to the ASG regardless if they are not doing as good as Kevin is

Why should Scola be ahead of Love? (beside's the fact that you're a Rockets fan). Love is averaging 20 and 15, which trumps Scola's 20 and 7 by a good margin. Scola is on a losing team too, it's not like they're one or two games down from .500, they have a pretty bad record too.

He's scoring 20 a game on 44%. That is atrocious especially for a big man. Admittedly his rebounding is impressive but let's not act like his 20 and 15 means more than say Dwight's 20 and 14.

It's not more impressive, and I haven't seen anyone here argue that Love > Dwight. But I think 20 and 15 even on 44% FG is enough to warrant CONSIDERATION for an all-star game. Mostly because I'm factoring in the fact that he's already had a couple of 20+ rebound performances, it's not like he's only pulling down 15 rebounds. He's consistently managing to get even more than that.

If he could play a lick of defense, I'd consider Love better than Dwight.

44% and he's shooting over three 3's a game. He's shooting bad for a big man, but he is efficient still.
