no, he'd still be 100 thougand votes behind melo (they're still doing a forwards/guards/center list right and not individual positions?

Since Yao won't be playing, my guess is that he'll be replaced with a PF, and Pau will slide over to C. Then Dirk will start. Paul/Kobe/Durant/Dirk/Pau. That's an amazing 5. (Would be perfect if D-Will over Paul).

The only problem I have with the fan voting is that when a players career is all over and it is time to see if he fits the bill of a hall of famer, it's usually a pretty big deal that someone was a six time all star. Because all-star appearances do factor into the HOF talk down the road, the people that deserve to be in the all-star game should be there.

LOL @ Spurs management trying to pass Duncan as a PF all these years.. wonder if they'll try to switch their plan up this time.

Kevin Love should be in this game for Yao :)
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."

Wow if Drew stays healthy and Yao is out due to injury he might be the starting center. Thats crazy.

I'm not sure what is more shocking Jason Kidd having 764 more votes than Westbrook or the fact Derek Fisher has 81,088 votes.

It's a shame Ibaka was left off the All-Star Ballot at C in the West.

How in the name of sweet baby jesus does Derek Fisher (81,088) have almost as many votes as Kevin Love (81,865)? A player who is, by all accounts, putting up historic numbers versus Derek freaking Fisher. I'm aware that they play different positions, but the sheer atrociousness of the prospect leaves a sickening taste in my mouth. I am outraged and appalled!

edit: Also the west centers really suck! Write in Darko!

Darko to ASG 2011!
