Can Miami Heat beat the Chicago Bulls in a 7 game series?

Post#1 » by taii1234 » Sat Mar 12, 2011 4:24 pm

Try not to answer based on the fact that you hate a team more than the other, or your from Miami/Chicago and just pick your favorite team.

In your opinion do you think they can?

Honestly, No. The heat have not been able to beat them all year and I think Chicago is too much of a matchup problem for them. The heat's weakest positions, PG and C, are Chicago's strongest. Not to mention they have way more depth than the heat and just better overall chemistry.

Heat lost 3 games by a total of 8 points to the Bulls. A few things go their way in any of those games and it could have been W's for Miami. So I believe Yes, Miami can beat Chicago. I have major doubts about the Heat beating the Celtics though. Boston thoroughly handled Miami.

Miami/Chicago will be a good matchup. I look forward to this in the playoffs.

Heat certainly can beat the Bulls.

I just hope Bulls get the #1 seed and won't have to face the Heat at all. ;)

It would be close, but I don't think so. Bulls are a dominant rebounding team, and the heat do not have enough to counter that in their front court. If they run their offense like they did against the Lakers -- ball movement, more Bosh postups, less isos on the perimeter --, they will be tough for sure.

Yes, Miami can beat Chicago. If you're going by the silly logic that of "8 points in 3 games" then we Bulls fans can just as easily say "Yea well we could have beaten you by 25 points total in the 3 games."

I think Miami will absolutely win a minimum of 2 games in a 7 game series against the Bulls. If they somehow expose something in the Bulls D that hasn't been taken advantage of yet, they could win the series. As it stands, I think Thibodeau has the Heat pretty well figured out, and the Bulls win in 6.

If Miami can stop talking and play ball instead, yes. They can beat Chicago.

But since the microphone is irresistible to them, I kind of doubt they will.

i think it would be more of an upset if the cHeat couldn't beat the Bulls with or without HC advantage.

This question should be asking if the Bulls could beat the cHeat in a 7 game series.

Bulls have played real bad in the 3 games and still won.

miami would be lucky to win 2 games imo.

Yes and I feel like the series would go the distance. Not sure who would win.

Of course they can. Each of the top 6 teams is capable of beating all of the others. But I do think Chicago's a bad match-up for Miami. The Bulls have 4 bigs who don't need touches to impact the game. In other words, at those times when Rose dominates the ball and does his thing, the Bulls can still count on plus performances from Taj, Asik, Thomas and Noah. Don't get me wrong, I think we're at our best when we share the ball, but it's a great luxury to know your role players don't check out when they're not getting touches. Miami doesn't have that.

3 games by 8 points

1 of them Lebron didn't play

1 of them the Heat would have won without a phantom foul

and 2 of them the Heat blew double digit leads in the second half

Plus Heat have a ton of room to play much better than they have throughout this regular season.

3 losses. You can play the what if game all you want but its 3 losses.

At the OP, yes. Can the Bulls beat the Heat? Also yes. Who would I pick? Bulls in 6, probably.

What does talking have to do with playing basketball?

That guy in your avatar was one of the biggest talkers there was and I think you would say he did ok.

Of course the Heat can beat the Bulls in a series. The Bulls can also beat the Heat though.

And whoever talks or doesn't talk will have nothing to do with it.
