Well clearly what Bynum did was worse than going into the stands and punching a fan..

Has Jermaine O'Neal done that 3 times. Bynum has already had this lead to the injury of Gerald Wallace. This is a joke.

I suggest the first 5 playoff games next season.

+1

You do the crime in the playoffs, you do the time in the playoffs.

(And it should be 15 games.)

Wallace and mini-B should get free penalty kicks on Bynum's knee.

Am I the only one that thinks it would've only been the assumed 10-15 if he had done this to Dirk? I'm sure this is an unpopular view, but I imagine the league values Dirk more than JJ.

These are weird posts. One side people think cheap shots have no place in the game( which I agree and what Bynum did was wrong) but then you have these pro-cheap shot comments. It's a contradiction.

You have never heard of revenge. It's a very basic human emotion.

exactly. Add to that, that Bynum has had a history with this sort of thing. Inexcusable. If Artest did it, it'd be at least 10 games.

This is basketball. Not the wild west. What Bynum did was wrong, but continuing the cycle is not what needs to be promoted here. Stopping it is.

^^^I get that. But you said you didn't understand people's comments. I was just stating that the comments were motivated by the feeling of revenge. Most people feel revenge.

That's because Artest has a history too. And like Bynum is a marked man from here on out and will get bigger punishments going forward. It's up to Bynum to grow up and control his emotions or he could lose alot more.

I said I don't understand playing both sides of the coin comments. If you don't support what Bynum did in the name of injury, then you shouldn't support more injury.

That's my point. Players' histories need to be taken into account and in my opinion, Bynum's wasn't here.

But overall we're probably on the same page.

We might be on the same page. My only distinction would be. There is a progression of discipline here.

It's what I thought he'd get too, but I'd have given him more. 5 isn't "piddling", it's significant, but it's on the lower spectrum of significant.

I think what he did was worse than the Melo punch, and Melo got 15 games.

Barea was good last play-offs too. He respects Bynum's reaction. Things would be different if Barea had a serious injury and his play-offs were over.
