if he wins 1 championship as main guy (now/next seaosns) and at least 1more as important piece, he has a shot imo. I always hated all these idiotic threads about his 'empty stats'. Look at him now, knocking out SAS, forcing OKC to game7 and abusing perhaps the best defensive front-court in the NBA. He's a good player, always was. If he doesn't win rings he won't get in though imo.

lol Dirk is a clear lock, you can put him to HOF now, same KG
Melo and Amare have still a very good shot too

cs hauser wrote: In spite of all his gaudy statistics, he is clearly not a difference maker. A career's worth of losing proves that. If he was any good, his teams would've done better in the standings. Even if Randolph keeps up this pace for 3-4 years (unlikely at his age) it will not erase his history.
Zach Randolph is basically a young Elton Brand.

instead of locking threads, they should del stupid comments like this one,
If you are not playing on good teams, you ain't winning simple as that, you can be very good and still lose. You would say same about wade if he didn't team up with shaq for 2006 ring... or now with LBJ. "Wade can score, but his stats are empty" bla bla bla, it's 5 guys on the floor on the same time u know and 7 more on the bench that count, not 1 guy.

It's not that hard to get in the HOF. If Dennis Rodman just got in and people were up in arms over Reggie Miller not getting on the ballot, you don't have to be in the running for greatest ever to be in the hall.

KG and Dirk are 100% in. They would have to murder a baby to destroy their chances
Carmelo's and Amar'e's careers easily traject to it, especially if they can get some more deep playoff runs
if Bosh and Randolph can be impotant pieces for more good playoff runs then they'll both have shots. Given Randolph's age, I think this is more likely with Bosh, but who knows.

Boozer is the only one I don't think has a real shot, he's just not that good a player. Who knows though. If he can have some more solid runs with the Bulls maybe even he'll have a chance.

That is exactly why I was hesitant to even think so. No way would anybody have even given it serious thought.

Now, with Randolph having ended the Spurs' run and him putting up 22/12 into the second round, it is obvious the reason he is the only NBA player to put up 20 and 10 the past three seasons is because Zach Randolph is good.

I think Memphis will be a playoff team as long as he and Gasol are on it. That team will improve. His numbers should not be any worse over the next 3 seasons. He plays low to the ground and could conceivably still be good at 35.

Then, who knows what kind of reputation/HoF chances he'll have.
Bye bye Beal.

Who knows. The Grizzlies have had one good playoff run they'd need many more and a championship for him to be considered.

Zach is not a HOFer, ya he has time to make his case but lets face it hes 29. However with his style of play where he does not run fast or jump high he can easily play all star level basketball until his mid 30s, like Billuips. And for Zach more years like this with deep playoff runs will change some minds, and when healthy he is a 20 10 player every year no question so if he does get in its because of his longevity more than anything and the success of the grizzles over the next couple of years, along with him being in good shape. Again highly unlikely but with his playing style fundamentals (footwork, jump shoot, rebounding) he will have umbers that might make a case. However 11 000 points in his 10 yr career is not HOF at all.

Another thing is that guy that said KG is most likely an HOFer, I wanted to slap you KG is a 14 time all star, 9 time all nba selection, 11 time all defensive selection, league MVP, Defensive player of the year, NBA champion, and in his prime would give you a steady diet of 23ppg 13rpg 5apg 2blks 1.5stl and was the fantasy player you most wanted. Arguably the greatest defender in the power forward position and in my opinion the greatest pick and roll defender for a big. In his prime could guard ALL five positions. There was nothing he could not do on offense, jump shot, fade, hook, and played with the most heart an passion than any player. He is a first ballot hall of famer. BTW he lead those garbage wolves to 8 straight playoff appearances from 97-04 until management turned the team to a D-league team.

had he been in a good team and management like Duncan, we would be calling him the greatest PF of all time and thats real talk. Show some respect. And KG will have more total points rebounds, assists steals than duncan. Yes duncan has more rings and finals mvps and stuff, but you saw KGs impact in boston when he wasn't in his prime and they won, imagine 8yrs of prime KG on a team with a chance!

Also dirk is for sure a HOF as well show some respect for him to, who are these noobs that write this trash.

One great postseason run and some solid, if underrated, regular seasons aren't enough. Z-Bo deserves respect and recognition, but the idea of him making the HoF is about as laughable as the HoF itself.

You understand that KG is an NBA champion, an MVP, a DPOY AND broke Bird's record for consecutive 20/10/5 seasons, yes?

If he doesn't get in, the Hall had better shut down because it's the most totally worthless institution one could ever find (though that's mostly true anyway).

Moreover, Dirk is also an MVP, has a 50/40/90 season, is one of the best PFs in league history AND a dominant player in international competition (which factors in heavily to the Hall, since he's a non-North American player), right?

He's another mortal lock for the HoF. Not even close, a guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer.

You could have talked about htem about 4-5 years ago, and Dirk and KG would still be virtual locks.

Lol...this place is deteriorating by the day.

Listen...if you take any player's best 'half season' or so, then extrapolate that over the course of a 15 year career....then every single player in the history of the league would end up in the HOF.

Please stop with these HOF threads...they make the posters look silly.

Is Zach Randolph is getting in the HoF at this point, Elton Brand is also getting in....and Brand sure as hell isn't getting in. They've accomplished the same things. Be a consistent 20/10 PF for a long time, get to the WC Semis once and make the all-star team. That's not enough.

I'd say it's well into unlikely, but Zach maybe could if he stays good and (by some miracle) wins a championship. Elton at this point can't.

I think a more interesting question is whether Amare can get into the hall. I think he's got a shot, but he needs to put together a few more good to great seasons.
