Come back to this thread in a couple of years when they are 24 and 25 and you will be singing a different tune.

Durant has been markedly better than Rose during the playoffs. He just ran into a better team and player.

LeBrons playoff numbers at 22 weren't great.

LeBron was in the finals at 22..

So? The Eastern conference was terrible. Hence the reason he was swept.

He'll be fine. He's young, still developing and has managed to help carry his team to the Conference Finals in his 4th season.

If Durant had Pop, Thunder would win it all.

KD is nullified by a poor ball movement and floor spacing.

He played well this series.
OKC just ran out of bullets, plain and simple.
Their youth and inexperience showed, but please give Dallas credit.

I think sometimes Dallas is invisible....Dallas played very well, and they defended when they had to.
They also have this unnamed German guy on there-- that helps.

Durant has some growing to do, but he is a very good player. He will only get better.

KD is very similar to Dirk.

Experience will make him better. He is only 22 years old. His physique and strength have to improve, and I am sure they will.

Thank you. Dallas is just a great team with a rotation full of vets. Look what they did to Kobe and the Lakers, and then compare it to what they did to Durant and OKC.

What a bizarre thread... 28-9-4 is supposed to leave me cold on his performance? He was great, and his team lost. Happens to someone every year.

he's 22. im older than he is. look at lebron and how he handled that stage. look at kobe when he was young, ariballing things in utah. would have helped if okc had some spacing to keep the mavs from playing unoficial zone

You must have selective memory. Those Pistons would destroy any team left in the playoffs this year.. Lest we also not forget scoring the final 29 points..

Hate Lebron if you want, can't deny his talents..

Yes, they were. That's what he averaged this series.

Yea, that 53 win 1st seeded Pistons team was great.

LeBron would have had a first or second round exit had he and the Cavs been a western conference team.

I agree with the "age" excuse thing.

Young player not playing well + age excuse = Young player playing well

Young player not playing well + reality = Young player not playing well

I do agree these two young players will be better in the years to come but I don't know that for sure, what they really did was not play that well. They had a few single digit fgm to their 20+ fga games and all the other stuff people pointed out.

Durant needs to get tougher and drive to the hoop more, coming too much of a long range shooter. Westbrook needs to get more mature in his game and in his attitude.

If you are getting tired of the "age" excuse, then why in the world make a thread then?

Any ways yes KD/Rose is still young and learning, but let KD go to the gym and work out and get some muscles.

KD is only 230 pound, that ain't bad but he needs to go 240 or 245. And he and Serge/Perk needs to work on their foot work a little but more. I wish they can work with the Dream...

Kevin Durant is 22, he just played 15+ games in his second playoffs and was far better than in his first. You look at Lebron, Kobe, Dirk, etc. Durant's playoffs in his fourth season compares very favorably to all of them.

He has to get better, no doubt, get more physical, learn to play through rough patches and keep himself in his game. But he was terrific in the postseason for his age and experience.

Some common sense needed to be injected into this thread. Thanks Slick.

And I'm going to go out on a limb and say, Durant's 22 year old playoff run was equally as impressive as LeBron's.

That's more of a testament to how badly the Cavs were built than it is to how good LeBron was at 22..

LeBron >>>> Durant at 22.. It's that simple. Switch LeBron and Durant, and the Thunder are headed to the finals and the Cavs were going home to the Nets in that 2nd round.. No need to worry about getting a PG, no need to worry about Westbrook's boneheaded plays, no need to worry about a stagnant offense..

Once he gets more physical and puts on some muscle/weight, he'll be a beast. His numbers in these PO are nothing to be ashamed about.
