What's your favorite basketball card set of 2010-2011?

Yeah, I know, basketball cards have been kinda crappy last couple of years since the NBA change their policy to allow only one company to produce basketball cards. and they chose the worse card-producing company out there - Panini. We used to enjoy cards from Topps, Upperdeck, Fleer, etc... but those days are gone because of David Stern.

Anyways, what is your favorite card set from this year? (2010-2011)

Some examples,

Wow they all look pretty terrible to me.

But out of those, I say the first one is the least ugly card.

These are dark days for basketball card collectors. I miss the early-mid '90s. That was fun, and the cards looked great. If there is a silver lining, though, it's that the overproduction of sets has stopped. I also applaud the killing off of the high end crap like Exquisite. Who the hell pays that much money for new cards?? It's just stupid. I hate that artificial, created scarcity.

I really miss buying Topps each year, and breaking a box or two, and finishing a set. I hope at least Topps comes back. Let them make 5 sets per year.

Screw Upper Deck. They were my fav as a kid in the '90s, because they had the best looking cards, but they turned into just a profit machine.

Anyways, Panini Classics and Donruss are the best from this year. Classics has the best design, and Donuss because it is a big, old school set with good cardbacks. It's for the old souls like me who remember what cards are supposed to be.

Yeah, I was one of those early-mid '90s card collectors as well - baseball and basketball.

I lost interest as I got older, but at the same time, EVERYONE seemed to lose interest, and a large part of it was likely due to the oversaturation of the market. One thing that seems kind of odd to me is that there was a huge increase in the overall look and quality of sports cards in the early '90s (due in large part to Upper Deck, and Topps' Stadium Club series), yet 20 years later cards look either on par or less 'cool' than they did back then. Anyone else get that feeling?
