Do you think he can maintain a 40.00+ break his own Finals PER record of 33.8 by the end of the series?

If the Heat win, Kobe Vs Wade becomes an argument. Thats two rings that he won on his own as the best player on the team just like Kobe. And if the Heat win multiple titles as expected its going to be close. I mean Ive always felt like those two have been very very close. But even Kobe hasnt dominated in the finals like this.

Wade is a MUCH, MUCH better Finals performer than Kobe...it's really not up for debate lol...

Kobe has had far better teams in his career, and has been a better regular season performer, and had more high scoring games, so casual fans of course don't compare the two.

Wade, in my mind, is the player I take if I want to win a Finals series...and it's not really debatable...

Never has Kobe or Jordan EVER face a defensive type team as the MAVS!
The mavs are the worst defensive team to play in the finals since the last two decades!

So you'd say Kobe is on Wade's level when it comes to Finals performance? I'd love to hear this one...

wade is getting overrated by the minute.. He's playing with Lebron (and bosh)... everyone expected Lebron to take over so Wade took everyone by surprised.. he's been in only 2 finals.. one with shaq and now with 2 other stars.. he's just taking avantage the defense cant collapse on him.. Wade vs Kobe is not even close, and im not even a kobe's fan..

Wade is playing good, maybe even great, but thats definitely not dominating

Yet they're still losing.

Just goes to show that it's LeBron's team, as LeBron goes so do the Heat.

Yes, Wade has been a better finals performer than Kobe, but the sample sizes are not really comparable. Wade has had two finals series--both against Dallas teams that weren't particularly strong defensively at SG. Kobe has had seven final series, including against defensive powerhouses such as Boston, Detroit, etc.

So yes, so far Wade has been one of the top finals performers of all time. After Wade completes his 7th final series, let's look at the numbers again.

That will not be fair to Wade, since he'll be 35 by the time he completes his 7th Finals series..

@Ito, don't forget that Kobe had Shaq in '00, '01, '02, and '04...and he had a great supporting cast in the last 3 Finals as well...

All I'm saying is that Wade is probably the 4th best Finals performer in the last 20 years (Jordan, Shaq and Duncan).

have a look at your quote down the bottom, obviously your a Kobe hater. Casual fans? do you mean fans that dont share your short sighted opinion? Im guessing your pushing 16 to right? Not debatable, what a uneducated short sighted thing to say.

Damn, all it takes is 4 strong games, and you jump from being called "D-Whistle" and being made fun of, to being the best guard since Jordan.

Sorry, how am I a Kobe hater? By having his stats in the clutch in my sig? No, I'm just a realist that doesn't buy into the hype about certain players (LeBron/Kobe) being the most clutch when stats prove otherwise.

Sure, the sample size is small ("only" 2 Finals"), but both of Wade's 2 Finals series were better than any 2 of Kobe's 7 Finals series...you can literally pick 2 of any of the 7 he was in, and they won't compare to Wade's. That's what I mean, and Kobe haters and Kobe fans alike can agree with this.

Kobe's numbers may be deflated a bit because he's actually used to the NBA finals, and didn't need Shaq/LBJ-Bosh to get there the two years he actually made it...wow is it really that hard to understand that someone that has been there done that 5 times has stats that are slightly more watered down than someone that has been there ONCE before? It's not rocket science, but go ahead Wade fan bois and let us hear why a one time champ that is currently underperforming and losing the series to an older team is better than Kobe Bryant... this is getting funny.

Like I said, in order to not have Kobe's stats watered down, find ANY two of Kobe's 7 Finals ( 00, 01, 02, 04, 08, 09, 10), and lets compare it that way. Pick his best two.

Yeah, I think Kobe vs. Wade will become an argument if the Heat win and his PER stays that astronomically high...

An argument Kobe still wins every time though.

I have an intense hatred for Kobe Bryant and I like Wade a lot, but I respect the hell out of Kobe's game.
