Which player in the NBA benefitted most from handcheck era? Which player do you think would not be nearly as good if he played pre handcheck era. How would that persons stats reflect?

1992-1995 New York Knicks
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

Pretty much any of the quick small guards in the league who love to drive. They won't be able to just use their speed to blow by people. They'd have a hand on them to prevent driving.

Like the post above me said, guys like Rose and Parker and Wall would take a hit.

Everyone that didn't know proper defensive fundamentals which was 90% of guys before the mid 90's benefitted from handchecking. Handchecking would hurt some guys a little today but its really the defensive 3 second rule that allows more speedy guards to dominate.

Handchecking extended Derek Harper's career by 3-4 years.

Trenton Hassell. Hard nosed defender with handchecking. Afterwards just half as good.

He meant before the rule came about.

I remember Pippen saying on the record that he wouldnt have been a good defender with todays rules
