Lockout Questions

Assuming this lockout lasts for the entire season I have a few questions.
Can teams still trade during the lockout period?
Can teams sign free agents if a big reason of the lockout is because of money issues?
Do players still get paid this year?

Can Mark Cuban talk to Dirk? Or are they not allowed to be friends anymore?

Bahaha that's what I was thinking. Wonder if Cuban wants a hard cap or not.

How about this year's draft? Do they remain unsigned and unpayed? Could be a tough year financially for those guys.

THats correct. They are of course free to sign in Europe if they would like to.

If the season is cancelled, how is the 2012 NBA Draft order determined?

W/ the 2012 FA class and depending on draft order, some team has a chance to make some major moves and REALLY come up!

That would be decided by the new CBA. Or if the union decertifies then the Draft may be illegal and there wouldn't be one.

As long as they don't talk about anything NBA-related, I think they can talk. Cuban's just not allowed to make official contact with players.
